Ended up voting for Road To a the Riches. Relied upon its inclusion in the Source 100 list. :yeshrug:
I really like the first three albums, but I think the knock on G has always been that he never really delivered a classic.
Can someone make the case for Live and Let Die standing the test of time :ohhh:

it influenced mafioso rap man it was the first fully fleshed vision come to life of a mafioso story, even though it wasn't as fluid or cohesive in narrative as Cuban Linx would come to be. but it was THIS album particularly out of the trilogy that is credited for kickstarting that sub genre of rap

track-wise though I'm not sure what has held up. On the Run perhaps but I doubt it.

The feature list on Live & Let Die was short but INSANE

Big Daddy Kane
Scarface
Bushwick Bill
Ice Cube

wtf...it doesn't get better than that

Also G Rap outshone them all....

word of warning: don't get on the same track as G Rap. He'll make you look bad

Both. But seriously Road to the Riches and 4,5,6 are classics to me

I'd rather you put bias to the side tbh as I ask everyone to do

I'm a Wu stan but would never vote Iron Flag as a classic for example

and I'm more referring to a yes vote for Giancana Story tbh. The first 4 are contenders though.

@Inspect Her Deck @Figaro

Ya'll got a tracklist for that original giancana story? I saw a few tracks that were supposed to be on it and it looks interesting, I can try to put it together

Unless you're Canibus.

But I'd say none. Road to Riches is borderline and I'd say that the bootleg/OG Giancana Story was borderline. Can we all agree that The Roots of Evil was trash?

Funny story - I remember on this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards during one of the cyphers, there were dudes on here saying "that beat is trash. WTF is that?" and they were talkingf about Road to Riches. CTHU SMH
