There's only room for 1 Beyoncé type of act at a time. They won't allow multiple Black Popular singers to blow all at once. Beyoncé has that lane sewed up, Alicia Keys had her own hipster/soul type of lane, it's not as Beyoncé has an iconic voice like Mariah Carey or Whitney. People are acting as if Beyoncé is something that can't be replicated.

I also give her record label much credit for making sure that every song she's ever dropped gets spun on the airwaves until people talk themselves into liking it. I also give her label credit for making sure she got with the best songwriters and producers available.

Lets not act like a pretty face is the only thing leading to stardom. Bey works hard, is a top notch performer, makes hits and is consistent. For every Bey, there are hundreds of Tierra Marie's, Ciara's, Mya's, Amerie's, Keri Hilson's etc.
