1-27 will get you fired, but the talk about 'all he needed was a qb to save his job' is funny....a qb behind a bad line and with limited talent around him, wasnt gonna save his job....not only would he have gotten fired still if they didnt win games, people wouldve just been calling whatever qb they drafted a bust.....

seriously, i know the nfl and media likes to push the notion that all you need is a 'franchise qb' to win, but that isnt true...you need a team to win in football, not just some savior at qb....

Keep hearing about all of the talent on a team thats 1-27 over 2 seasons :stopitslime:
 1-27? That sounds pretty firing worthy. Hard to argue you should keep your job when you’ve lost so much that winning the next two games would have them winning 10% of their games in a two year span. I don’t see how their fans can still get excited to watch that team.

The team's very, very young, on average 1 year younger than the 2nd youngest team(that'd be the Rams). I don't think Hue has done a good job there. His in-game management is very suspicious from what I've seen. That being said, they do have unseasoned talent + a lot of picks coming down the pike. What makes Sashi look bad is Wentz could win MVP and Watson looked like a stud before he tore up his knee... that's sort of unforgivable when you have Kizer atop your depth chart.

IMO Hue deserved to go more than Sashi.

Not really

This organization is always in flux

The defense is solid and they'll have the number one overall pick

It only gets better from this point
Literally been saying this for like 20 years now

They have no qb and piss poor coaching

They have some decent talent on both sides of the ball but they're all young for the most part

They need time

Bringing in an entire new front office and coaching staff every 2 years just starts the process all over again

They need to do what the Bengals did when they hired Marv and give somebody the time its gonna take to really turn shyt around

Its not gonna happen in 2 years

To be honest, if I was Haslam I'd bring in Marvin Lewis and make him GM. Bengals were a joke for a decade before he got there, now they're generally a respectable franchise(from 2012-2015 they were probably top 5 in terms of talent in all the NFL)

No one in the nfl cares what your philosophy might do years later when you have 1 win in 2 seasons. ā€œThese picks might be multi year contributorsā€ well they play for the browns no shyt they will contribute they have nothing else. Pass on Watson and Wentz when your biggest need is qb and proceed to win 1 game in your multi year gm tenure and expect to stay employed?

Watson you can make a case for but Wentz? Cleveland had a shytty line and no talent at the skills positions last year. Hindsight is always 20-20. Lets say they do take Wentz and he bombs. He probably gets fired anyway. It was almost a lose-lose situation.
