The East got worse. Multiple teams have lost marquee players to the West. Those teams will be actively tanking. Meanwhile, the Nets added D'Angelo Russell and Atkinson is saying that they won't tank. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Brooklyn finishes between 10-12 in the East. And then you gotta think about the worst teams in the West.

Sure Cleveland could end up winning with that Nets pick but it's far from a lock and the East is shaping up to be a tank job for most teams in the East outside of a handful.

I believe BRK will be a bottom 5 team. Too green and their interior rotation is just :hhh:

I think my boy D'LO will eventually ball out in BK but he won't lead them far this upcoming season. I only see ATL and CHI as they are as being strictly inferior in the east. NY, Orlando & Indy are slightly better IMO but the Nets could be better than them :manny:

Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta and Indiana are CLEARLY worse than Brooklyn. After that you got Sacramento, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and Phoenix who could potentially be worse than Brooklyn when it's all said and done.

Lakeshow has a better team than BRK. Phoenix probably too if they stay healthy :manny:

Dallas has DSJ-Matthews-Barnes-Dirk-Noel which is better than BK's starting 5. The Nets bench might be (or not) better but it isn't anyhing to write home about.

All those teams play in the West, it's not whose better, it's who will have a better record. In the West better teams end up with worse records because the conference is too stacked. It's part of why the West has been eternally better than the East since the 90s

And the Nets were dead last in the league last season. They might have improved a bit this year, but the guys they got aren't really game changer. Even Russell I feel isn't ready to lead a team yet.

Plus they could end up being like 6th or 7th worse and still pick up in the top 5 or even 3 :manny:

Possible, but again, there's teams that are clearly worse than them this year, and there's teams that could finish below them this year. Y'all talking like it's a guaranteed top 5 pick, but the point we're making is that it's not guaranteed whatsoever. The Nets possibly overachieving and paying IT the max next season are the two reasons why I feel like Danny was comfortable with this trade. And another thing is that if the Lakers pick is between 2 and 5 which is completely possible then he would get his guy next draft anyway.

How can you claim any of those teams will be worse than Brooklyn? CLEARLY worse? Nah youre trippin. Nets roster is still trash and at this point they have a culture of losing unlike any other team in the league. Absolutely nothing to suggest they would overachieve.

Kris Dunn/Cameron Payne
D Wade (Buyout pending)/Zach Lavine (ACL minutes restriction)
Denzel Valentine/Paul Zipser
Nikola Mirotic/Bobby Portis
Robin Lopez/Cristiano Felicio

That team is better than

D'angelo Russell/Jeremy Lin
Caris LeVert/Sean Kilpatrick
DeMarre Carroll/Allen Crabbe
Trevor Booker/Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
Timofey Mozgov/Jarrett Allen

????

Seriously?

and shyt, Hawks are throwing out a roster whose best player is Dennis Shroeder for christ's sake.

Jesus Christ, there are A LOT of trash teams in the NBA.

Dallas, Phoenix, NY, and Los Angeles should all be better than Brooklyn though.

Lebrons been placed in "win/win" situations his entire career

This AND the fact that he's been arguably the best player in the NBA at the same time is :banderas:

He league has rolled out the red carpet for him to find his way to success:manny:

Bulls will be down there too but that looks like a wash to me, depending on what happens with Wade and Lavine.

Hawks, same deal. Yeah a team led by Schroder will be bad. Is Russell any better? No, I dont think so. :yeshrug:

In the short term, Cleveland wins because of this trade. But it's a short-lived victory because both Bron and IT can bounce after this season. And there's a chance that Nets pick won't be a top 5 pick.
Kyrie wanted out so their hands were forced. I think the Nets pick will be a lottery pick however the Cavs have been such shyt at drafting (other than Kyrie and Wiggins) that I'm not sure they'll do shyt with it anyways, but that's their own fault. Kyrie with no LeBron wasn't going to do shyt for them longterm either. They made the best out of this situation. And this new GM seems to know what the fukk he's doing compared to the past. If LeBron leaves I can def see them flipping Kevin Love for some nice pieces and we'll see what happens form there.

Sac and Phx have ALOT of talent, their coaching is just extremely questionable also playing in the West doesn't help either.

Phx, Dallas, LA, and Sac worse than Brooklyn? No way.
