Why are people trying to tell themselves that Brooklyn won't be one of the worst teams in the league?

Because they have one of the better young coaches and more incentive to win than any other bad team in the league. There will be 5+ teams who will actively want/try to lose games and Brooklyn will not be one of them.

Did I miss something this offseason. They traded brook Lopez and got d Angelo Russell. Did they add some other players that I don't know about? You may start the season with a incentive to win but when you don't have talent and the losses start piling up that chit changes.

How you figure Nets pick wont be top 5?

Nah it was a good move for Cleveland in both the short and long term, def made the best out of a shyt situation.

People overrating the shyt out of the Nets, they gonna be bottom 3 team easily, I only really see Chicago being worse than them. Every team out West is better

Yeah, teams are going to be able to focus better and shut down a lot of Isaiah's shyt in the playoffs. Hell, Cleveland did it. It'll be tougher to do with LeBron out there, and the other part people have just seemed to forget about... this shyt could actually be an opportunity for Kevin Love to put more of an imprint on the game. He has to show out this year.

But no other team in the post season did it but Cleveland tho....and it for sure wasn't because of Kyrie.....the Wizards

Players don't tank for picks. Coaches and front offices do. Players play but when they suck and don't have the talent and aren't winning they get discouraged and say fukk it.

I think my boy D'LO will eventually ball out in BK but he won't lead them far this upcoming season. I only see ATL and CHI as they are as being strictly inferior in the east. NY, Orlando & Indy are slightly better IMO but the Nets could be better than them

The got allen crabbe, demarre carroll and jarret allen. Crabbe one of the better shooters in the league, carroll is a really good 3 and d guy (when he was in atlanta anyway) and allen was one of the better bigs in the draft.

Plus levert, kilpatrick, lin and rhj who they already had...and a hungry d'angelo russell.

Team is better than last year easily, and again theres other teams that are flat out worse than them

Crabbe and Carroll are overpaid bums

They got Russell and levert. Sure they're bette than last years team because last years team was horrible. That don't man they gonna be anywhere near a playoff spot.

In the short term, Cleveland wins because of this trade. But it's a short-lived victory because both Bron and IT can bounce after this season. And there's a chance that Nets pick won't be a top 5 pick.

I'm 99% sure if the Nets end up in the lottery, they're winning the #1 overall pick.


Even if they have the 13th worst record.


The NBA always compensates them for Bron's absence.
