What changes? "Well, we tried to compete but we're x games below .500 so we might as well tank for our pick :yeshrug:"

nikka THEY AINT GOT NO PICK :damn:

Ain't shyt changing for them. They are playing for one thing and one thing only: pride. That's a lot more than about a quarter of the league is playing for this year.
How many wins per year is "pride" worth? :dead:

Crabbe and Carroll are overpaid bums

They got Russell and levert. Sure they're bette than last years team because last years team was horrible. That don't man they gonna be anywhere near a playoff spot.

Who said they were making the playoffs? :dahell:

Im just saying they arent guaranteed to finish bottom 5

Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta and Indiana are CLEARLY worse than Brooklyn. After that you got Sacramento, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and Phoenix who could potentially be worse than Brooklyn when it's all said and done.
How are those teams clearly worse than Brooklyn? Brooklyn got rid of their best player to LA, and even if D-lo comes in and does well, he matched the production of Brook Lopez at best. The Nets are still terrible.

And Orlando gonna be bad but them nikkas never end up with a top 3 pick. They be winning games somehow.

The East got worse. Multiple teams have lost marquee players to the West. Those teams will be actively tanking. Meanwhile, the Nets added D'Angelo Russell and Atkinson is saying that they won't tank. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Brooklyn finishes between 10-12 in the East. And then you gotta think about the worst teams in the West.

Sure Cleveland could end up winning with that Nets pick but it's far from a lock and the East is shaping up to be a tank job for most teams in the East outside of a handful.
that nets pick won't be in the top 3 nets will be better than a few teams this year

In the short term, Cleveland wins because of this trade. But it's a short-lived victory because both Bron and IT can bounce after this season. And there's a chance that Nets pick won't be a top 5 pick.
Even when you put it like that though, breh, it still suggests the Cavs won.

Yes, there is a chance the Nets don't select top 5 but let's be honest, the writing on the wall indicates both Irving and Bron were dipping regardless. Even though Irving might have reason to believe Bron would leave after this year, he still apparently wanted to go.

With this trade, IT may or may not stay but with him they get many glue guys and solid players AND the potential to immediately start the rebuild for the Post-Bron future by having a possible lottery pick.

They won.

But, the Celtics didn't do bad either.

Y'all take tanking too far. Every team is not gonna be tanking. All Those coaches not throwing their future on the line like that.

I hear what you're saying and I did say that Cleveland wins this trade is that pic ends up being a top 4 or 5 pick.

I was just adding perspective as to how this trade could impact both sides.

The LeBron haters want to convince themselves the Cavs fukked up and LeBron's run is over. Even though they'd be blaming LeBron for it if it turned out to be true.

never heard or read anyone say that the nets could be a 8th seed contender.....until yesterday :lolbron:

Nets won't be good, but they aren't gonna be bottom 3 again this year. Even the Celtics know this, which is why they traded away the pick.

They could have given up the Lakers pick they got instead, but they gave up the Brooklyn pick instead after holding on to it for so long. There's a reason why :usure:
