If terrorist wanted to send a message to america and they had to pick between only these two cities wich one do you think they would pick.

Philly or Cleveland the birthplace of two US presidents.

Level of significance
Philly > Cleveland

They wouldn't send it to either one.

Cleveland is not very known in POP CULTURE. But we are known worldwide for business and manufacturing. Plenty of worldwide business were started here or have there home offices here. Progressive insurance and the nestle corporation were founded in cleveland just to name a few. The company I work for ships airplane parts all over the world and was named on the Forbes top 100 small companies list.

Chicago's jobless is rate is at at 8.9% Cleveland's at 6.7%
Currently Chicago is known worldwide for this WILD WEST IN CHICAGO - The Daily more murders in Chicago than Afghanistan.

Doesn't sound like a place I'd want to live.

Chicago Area has the 3rd most corporations. Clevelend is not known for that because a bunch of other cities do it too. Namely Pittsburgh, which also better then Cleveland. Like I said people and companies have left Cleveland for nearly 50 years. KeyCorp and ForestCity are also Cleveland companies but they aren't' global like that.

Nobody gives a shyt about a jobless rate or where a president was born when deciding how great a city is. It's about the people, the surroundings, the beauty in some cases, and the diversity of activities and culture. Stop lying to yourself.

:rudy: don't know where your getting your info from.

The jobless rate disproves your point. Numbers don't lie 8.9 to 6.7

Presidents are people. Tourists come from all over the country and the world to see the rock n roll HOF. Cleveland clinic is known worldwide and consistently tops the best hospitals lists. The Cleveland museums of art and natural history are also some of the best in the country. The Cleveland zoo, Neil Armstrong,Thomas Edison, JOHN HEISMAN. The list goes on and on and on.

I understand it has become "cool" in pop culture to rag on Cleveland. But at the end if the day Cleveland is a great city with a great history and a great future. As far as big cities go not named LA NY or ATL Cleveland can go toe to toe with any of them.

2010 census population numbers show Cleveland below 400,000; Northeast Ohio down 2.2 percent | cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Census 2010 numbers released Wednesday show Cleveland's population has fallen to a 100-year low of 396,815. But the eight-county Cleveland-Akron metro area has experienced little change over the last 50 years.

Cleveland, which numbered more than 900,000 people in 1950, had slipped below the 500,000 threshold with census 2000 when it dropped to 478,403.

That info is over 12 years old :wtf:

Alot of people including myself moved from the city to surrounding suburbs, which are still considerd the greater Cleveland area. That's why it say although residency in Cleveland has gone down, resedency in the entire area has remained consistent

In fairness though.

Downtown Cleveland remains a major employment center: Sunday's Numbers | cleveland.com

Meech does have a point. Cleveland was on the level with Boston and SF, it has to get back there.

^^^^ that's all I'm sayin people like to disrespect Cleveland, but we are up there with some of the best cities in America and we are currently growing.
