They'll never get there. At least its not going to be as easy as they think. Exploring space will take massive amounts of fuel and resources. And its going to get a lot harder to justify these ventures in space when the world is not only going through one climate related calamity after another, but also has an energy crises and resource depletion.
The ironic thing is that between the both of them, their vast amounts of wealth could be leveraged to do very meaningful things when it comes to the environment and overall human wellbeing. Instead their popping bottles of champagne in after their space and complaining on twitter about paying their fair share in taxes.

Not sure why you suggest that. Its been known for quite some time that Africa will bare the brunt of climate change. If anything its an indicment against the west for screwing up the planet. Not sure why more of us (people of African descent) aren't upset about this tbh. The west's negligence when it comes to curtailing its emissions will amount to mass genocide for many non-white countries in the coming decades.
