But I am curious, how do you think its being heavily sensationalized? Mainstream media barely mentions climate change unless some severe weather event happens. And when they do its drastically watered down.

All evidence points to the situation being far worse than its portrayed. Even scientists themselves have failed to convey to the general public just how severe the issue is. And whenever the IPCC creates a report its basically watered down to appease world governments who don't want to address the problem with the urgency it requires.
