He can play where he wants, but he's under contract with the Celtics. Any deal in which the C's send KG to the Clippers will be send as a side deal of the Doc trade.

Blame the teams for not keeping the shyt under wraps.
mind boggling why they didnt just send the players, then send the coach later for a draft pick. league wouldnt have said shyt. theres no way to spin it now that they already played all their cards

what difference would it make if they kept it under wraps? it would have still had to be approved by the league meaning they would know the deal and the components of it.

the rule itself is just pointless which is what im questioning...also the media played a big role on how the deal was perceived with all the espn radio bullshyt....why is stern harping on espn radio nonsense when he should be focusing on the mindset from the actual clubs themselves? the dude is worthless and needs to never stick his head into nba shyt again...its over stern just leave.

You don't think the mindset of the teams is that this was a package deal?

It's just a coincidence that they were gonna trade Doc for 2 1st rounders and KG for DeAndre at the same time?

I mean mindset as in trying to portray it as two different situations....yea its a package deal, but they could advertise it as two different deals they wanted to get done at the same time period. The media fukked it up by blowing it up and sort of premeditating the scheme as a doc plus kg and paul pierce type thing. Clippers really just wanted doc, and realized KG would only play for doc, and for a contender. Pierce also..

damn near every trade in the nba has blurred lines in it...this aint the first time shyt like this happened...basketball reasons is one example (ironically affecting the clippers), so I dont see why stern is letting the media dictate how the story is, when he should shun them and talk to the actual sources.

Are NBA head coaches some type of secret society?? Why do these dudes just continually just get recycled to other teams? :why:

If they got a ring, all bets are off. But guys like Mo Cheeks and Byron Scott...

I like Hollins too.

For the record, I wanted Hollins or Shaw. This dude gonna have CP juat dribbling around luke always. Hopefully he'll have some plays every now and then:usure:

Hollins isn't a high enough profile coach for LA. He isn't a good fit

:snoop: pat riley was traded to the heat in 95 for a draft pick and stan van gundy were traded to the magic for a draft pick

They resigned though so when they got another job their old team was compensated with picks instead of them just leaving their old team with nothing. If they had been fired their old teams wouldn't have got anything in return.

Unless there is something preventing him from going to another team in Rivers Celtics contract, technically all he had to do was resign from Boston then agree to become the Clippers coach after they did the KG deal. Then they could have sent Boston the pick & had everything they wanted.
