Welcome aboard Doc:salute:

Now finally the team will be held accountable every single night they step foot on that floor. No more Vinny excuses. This is the very reason Doc was worth a first rounder

For the record, I wanted Hollins or Shaw. This dude gonna have CP juat dribbling around luke always. Hopefully he'll have some plays every now and then:usure:

Damn, you trolling like no other. We Hawks fans already since, if it don't happen, tank and get Wiggins. We don't give a shyt either way. Just don't be in the middle. That's where you truly lose in the NBA.

To reiterate: All indications are NBA WILL approve LAC deal for Doc Rivers. But all indications also are any KG-to-Clips trade gets blocked

How can they do that? I wanna hear the reason behind the cock blocking

Acoording to Stein, the NBA would see a separate trade involving Garnett as connected to the Rivers' deal and a violation of the collective bargaining agreement.

A Stern voice on Clippers deal - Los Angeles Times

Stern said on an ESPN radio show that the league's collective-bargaining agreement doesn't allow a team to trade players "involving coaches' contracts."

"The only consideration that can be done here in player transactions are other players, draft picks and a very limited amount of cash," Stern said. "But coaches' contracts don't qualify as extra consideration or acceptable consideration in player transactions."

"What the rules won't allow ... it can't be gotten around by breaking it up into two separate transactions," Stern said on the radio show.

Larry c00n, an expert on the NBA's collective-bargaining agreement, said the Clippers and Celtics could try to reach an agreement for Rivers this month, and then try to work out some sort of deal involving Garnett and Jordan in July or August.

"That is a possibility," c00n said. "The league still could argue that this is attached to the earlier deal.... I think the league right now is trying to make sure that the two teams don't make it a blatant circumvention of the collective-bargaining agreement."

thats my point though that shyt makes no absolute sense...the rule itself is what im questioning...

they cant prove shyt unless they were in the room doing the negotiations...

if there are no rules about trading coaches which is essentially what happened because the NBA allowed it...then how can there be "do's and donts" in this situation?

also are they basically saying KG is not allowed to play for a basketball team of his choice? Is that even legal? It may not be realistic, but they are basically forcing the nikka to retire....he should get lawyers on this shyt ASAP

:stopitslime: Everybody knows this was a package deal.

Y! SPORTS

Discussions over a blockbuster deal to send Boston Celtics star Kevin Garnett to the Los Angeles Clippers – with Doc Rivers as coach – reached an impasse on Saturday afternoon, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

He can play where he wants, but he's under contract with the Celtics. Any deal in which the C's send KG to the Clippers will be send as a side deal of the Doc trade.

Blame the teams for not keeping the shyt under wraps.

:snoop: pat riley was traded to the heat in 95 for a draft pick and stan van gundy were traded to the magic for a draft pick
