i'm gonna have to accept the consensus, but i think think that Pusha and Gene are pretty much equals lyrically :hubie:
I don't think the difference is AS BIG as some make it out to be, but I do think Malice is a breath of fresh air which makes it seem like he's doing something completely different from Push - who's been consistently dropping over the last decade.

I also think they intentionally shined more of a light on Malice, he gets the closing verse on damn near all the songs.

They’re both equals, it’s just a frequently said narrative that there’s some big gap in skill when it’s not. Same as Big Boi and Dre, but at least with Clipse, both members actually have solo albums (even if Malice just has 1, that’s still more than 3K).

EDIT: apparently Malice has TWO solos :ehh:

:russ:These bruhs rapping
mase-gif.gif

The grass is greener on each side
I done been both Mason Betha's
I done been at both intersections
I done pulled Ocean 11's
Even when the well ran dry
I done raised quotes in the desert
Tried to hide the dope in the message
Like we did the coke in the Lexus
Same hands I used to whip work
See me turn 'em both into blessings

100k for a Clipse album in 2025 is insane.

It's been said so much but the rollout for this has been crazy and I hope it inspires other rappers to take the "classic" rollout approach. I might be forgetting an album, but this might be the first traditional album rollout that some people have ever experienced....mainly the crowd that started listening to music after streaming started dominating. We used to get this type of excitement regularly :mjcry:
Question for you and everyone. Do you think this album would've did these numbers if it was a surprise drop?
