Gotta wonder how smart this is, when they can counter sue for breach of contract and your wife still works there

If they had a case for breach of contract, they probably would've filed suit months ago. And besides, that's not really a case they can win in the long run, even if they won in the courts (and they can't really win in the courts).

Also, I'm not sure that WWE really wants to open themselves up to what would be essentially a retaliation suit by punishing AJ for Punk's actions.

I don't think it's that simple that he breached his contract because like said earlier, they'd be suing him. Besides no one knows what the language says regarding quitting in his contract. But if he does own his name & likeness, that has nothing to do with him quitting

Under what circumstances? According to what we know, he went home by mutual agreement of both parties and was paid his downside for the remainder of his contract (no lost money due to not paying him for houses, RAWs, PPVs, etc.). By dint of paying him rather than terminating his contract immediately and attempting to sue him, he didn't breach contract by their own criteria. Remember, we already have a situation where they believe a worker breached contract (Del Rio) and we see how they worked with that, right? His contract was terminated immediately and the breach provisions in the contract were immediately enacted (no matter how ridiculous or onerous those provisions are).

They don't have a case, point blank. If they had a case, they would've pursued it months ago.

i don't blame anyone for suing if they think they're owed royalties even if punk acts like a c*nt tbh. it's hard to really judge since we don't know the specifics of the contract. i find it hard to believe wwe could actually hold someone to a contract that enforces them to risk their physical health if they feel they aren't mentally up to it.

World Wildlife Fund is a whole different story. And Punk is nowhere close to having the level of influence of the other guys you mentioned.

1. This is complete BS.

2. It's the court of law, not a court of public opinion (even though what you said is complete BS).

3. Punk's case might as well be an extension of Warrior and Ventura's cases against the WWE to begin with (which both lad to do with use of likenesses and royalties) and WWE lost those cases.
