Make My Day samples Pump Up The Jam, which was released on SBK Records. What is SBK Records?
"SBK Records was a record label, owned by Universal Music Group, that is currently part of the Capitol Music Group, where it is in hibernation."
Man's World samples It's A Man's World, which was released on a now-defunct label that was then sold to Polydor Records. What is Polydor Records?

The only track that isn't sampled from the UMG library is bytch Girl, which is Sony (Hall And Oates). Old music is being streamed more than new music. Catalogs are being sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. Sure SHE won't get paid shyt, but the streams this album generates will be eaten up by the samples. The label is essentially paying itself.
I’m signing to the label with the best catalog so I can freely sample if that’s the caseYou want to know why? She's signed to Republic Records. What is Republic Records?

Current NYC hip hop sample based as hell.It seems like all the female rappers sampling like hell these days
only the legends are able to eat off their album/streaming royalties. Coi appearing on as many sampled songs as possible is the only way she'll make money (and for the label to recoup their investment). As mentioned, they'll eat off the 360 and Coi will get some too.
She wouldn't have made it indie. It's hard.
I guess she's lucky in choosing the songs she samples bc some of the original artists take everything
yep - that is if she actually ends up choosing them or if the majors force them on her.
