just listened to the live forest hills, this morning. flow of that album is great. and i dont even like it as much as born sinner or the two truly yours mixtapes. my main complaint about kendrick is one of the complaints ive had about eminem over the past umpteen years: its hard getting through the whole project. the flow is off. its not cohesive. even the songs i dont care for on cole projects, i know exactly why i dont like certain aspects of them. sometimes when i listen to kendrick's albums i feel like im looking into carrot top's big ass trunk; i know some of the shyt in there is gonna entertain the fuk outta me, but some of it is always gonna be always be a collection of confusing junk...respectfully.

J. Cole indeed is a better EMCEE. Kendrick is a better overall artist/ performer. But he isn't necessary a GREAT emcee. He is an amazing lyricist... but take away the theatrics and him mumbling expressions to disguise effect... he is average with just a mic and a DJ. J. Cole with just the mic and nothing else can MOVE the CROWD more effectively than Kendrick.... the difference with Kendrick is his atmospheric setting... but strip that away and just EMCEE... he's average.
I think Cole is better at this point yes.
