Does life change when you hit the 4-0?

Do you think your 40s are your prime where you're mentally at your peak, but still young enough to get shyt done and make big moves?

Any aches and pains? :flabbynsick:

Does anything surprise you anymore?

Couple aches and pains, mostly cause I have stopped exercising during the pandemic.

But otherwise, 40's are fukking lit.

I have more money and more wisdom and more self-assurance than at any other point in my life. :myman:

I care less and less about the opinions of others with each passing day. :myman:

I still have good health, 90% of my youthful good looks (don't smoke or drink, kids), without any of the anxiety of youth. :win:

Now, I will say that a big part of the reason my 40's kick ass is because I never got married.

So if you're planning on getting married, I can't speak on it.

Your bones creak more than usual, but your 40s is basically an extension of your 30s. Not much changes. You’re still young, but seasoned, with experience and purpose that sets you on the path forward.

You’re not “old” until you reach your 60s.

Just turned 40 back in November. Beside my joints creaking and popping more frequently and getting more greys in my beard, nothing much has really changed. I'm more wiser and know what I want in life now and not going to settled for less. As long as you are still taking care of your health, mentals and staying active, you should be good.

im turning it in a few months so ill join in

its the most different ive felt since my early 20s. feel more patient, more at ease with things. at 30 you still want to keep up with the youth, and balance that with true adulthood. now? im good, going to do things how i want and let the youth have their own thing. its their time now

Gotta question for Gen X folks after revisiting this thread, were you brehs conditioned by society/mainstream media to see yourself as a failure or your window was closing if you weren't 6 figure/6 cert nikka before 30? Even as it pertains to having children, Millennials/gen z don't want to be "old" parents, everything must be accomplished while they have their youth. This rhetoric plagues millennials/gen Z today. I know social media is a big influence for the reason why thats an issue today but was wondering if that was an issue back then

Went into 40 in the best shape of my adult life.
Not gonna lie though I noticed myself aging a little now, a couple of grey hairs, takes longer to recover after work out, and I want to be left the fukk alone for the most part.
Life as gotten a lot less complicated.

It’s great… 42 and taking care of myself physically and mentally. Work out 4 to 5 times a week to stay away from that :flabbynsick: life and making over 6 figures comfortably. Wife and kid great. Little different from the 30s. I do go to the doctor now though. I slipped ok that when I was younger.
