I PAY TO SHIP TO AMAZON RIGHT? I FOUND AN ITEM THAT IS 60% OFF BUT IT WEIGHS 35 LBS. THE COST TO SHIP MIGHT HURT MY PROFITS TOO MUCH TO BOTHER. IT IS A REALLY HOT ITEM THOUGH.

ALSO IF I HAVE A DISTRIBUTION CENTER NEAR ME CAN I JUST DELIVER MY OWN PRODUCT? I HAVE A TRANSIT VAN TO MAKE DELIVERIES. OFFICIAL BUSINESS NAME AND ALL.

amazon charges extra fees for overweight/oversized items... amazon will rape you on fees for an item thats 35 pounds. you could sell it as merchant fulfilled on amazon (meaning you ship the item to the buyer when it sells) and not ship it to FBA and make a lot more money that way.

Amazon does not permit you to deliver your own products. I had the same idea but they told me that due to legal reasons, they do not allow this. Delivery has to be made by an authorized delivery service.

ANYBODY HAVE AN ANSWER FOR THIS?
It doesn't really work like that. They pick the distribution for you and it is almost never the one closest to you unfortunately. If you choose the default option they will have you splitting your shipment between 3 distribution centers and one still probably won't be the closest one to you.

I've learned a lot within the past week in a half on this subject..Google and podcasts have been my best friend..the main thing they express is to start small and simple and to pretty much just take action..Finding and researching products have been a little interesting, only because the trick (one of many) to getting sales is to select a product that's in the best sellers rank and selling within the top 5-10% of its main category..idk it's still a little confusing but I'll figure it out lol

Apparently, people still buy CD's in 2016 because the ones I sent for FBA are selling better than the books right now.... For my first shipment I sent in 20+ CD's/Audiobooks as a test run but I'm gonna start sending out large shipments every week now.... I realized that shyt is basically a numbers game, the more inventory you have, the more money you make on a more consistent basis so I'm focusing on building my inventory now so I can make sales everyday instead of every other day.... I'm sending out 100 CD's on Monday (and a couple books) as my first large shipment... I'm using the money that I make from that and money I made so far to buy more inventory so I don't have to come outta pocket for nathan

So my understanding is try to find a popular item cheap, scan it to see the value on Amazon, then send it to Amazon. They take care of fulfilling and shipping?

Ready to stop bullshytting and get on this. Been paying for the app and a subscription for a few months and even made a couple thrift shop runs but haven't sent anything to Amazon yet. Going to get a printer next week when I get paid and get on this for real.
