Well, im growing basil...do it every summer...easy to take care of and delicious.....itll turn into a big ass bush wit lil care...jus have to keep the animals out

I WAS growing cilantro but i threw that shyt out after eating it and it tasted like absolutely nothing...waste of time

On my second chinese elm bonsai....it made it through a brutal winter successfully just for my dumb ass to inadvertently drown it by not paying as close attention as i should have....i wasnt using a gentle watering can...i used my sink hose so essentially i pushed the soil near the drainage holes into the humidity tray unknowingly...so it was just sitting in water nonstop ...didnt take long for it sitting in that water to do it in smh....that shyt had me HURT!...jesus...daddy and wifey was cracking jokes...that shyt wasnt funny to me :sadbron::damn::damn::damn:

On my second one and its going strong. .got the pro watering can and now i know how to watch it closely what to look for how to get the bugs off etc

I know an older black guy who has a bunch of bonsai. He’s like the bonsai king. I’ll ask him what you can do for effective growth.

First off, thank you very much...ive never personally met anyone who even dealt with a bonsai....but the internet helps me out....lots of conflicting info though...i appreciate that...

I want more....theres this pine evergreen one cant think of its official name atm i want as well, but it has to live outside at all times.... I'm not comfortable leaving that kind of investment out in the open all day all night....not only the tree but the nice pot decorations etc....my neighborhood aint bad by any stretch but it is busy wit alot of foot traffic.. and big buildings with direct line of sight to my backyard...that thang would eventually get gripped smh

I understand. Having a nice lust greenery outside your window is a dream. If I can get my own outdoor pond. :wow:

Maybe try japanese bloodgood maple if you have the space.
