Man, Oscar Isaac is in everything these days it seems. Not that Iβm mad about it though. Heβs a great actor, deserves the shine, and carried this film hard. I enjoyed this. Itβs the usual Schrader slow burn, character study centered around the themes of sin and redemption and often feels stuck in a loop.
For some reason, the TV spots and trailers made it seem like this was a β21β type film and I can already see the poor souls who got baited into bringing their date along with them to watch this dark, slow-churner. This is more βHard Eightβ than anything.

Preferred part 1 over 2. Personally had issues with the voice acting, the three men all had similar tones so at times it felt like it was one person talking.

amazing for a brit tv movie. pre and post nuclear apocalypse. not sure if i would call it horror or thriller. it's just a slow descent into hopeless misery, LOL.
