Got an hour and 17 minutes in before I gave up.

I love the setting and atmosphere but beyond that, this movie does absolutely nothing for me. I think those alone are what carried this to so-called "classic" status.

I agree with you. I tried watching this and was knocked out sleep in 30 min.
Tried watching the new one...sleep in 30 too :dead:

Koalabama and the Cosmos
The Graduate.

Was disappointed I thought there would be more to it. It should have been fleshed out a little more. More drama and conflict.
It was kinda empty don't know why it gets the hype it does.

Yeah, it's one of those films that felt too stretched out. Like it had me and then it just lost me towards the middle and the ending was just batshyt insane:dwillhuh:. For the most part, it's a pretty good flick but yeah, the hype was a bit too much when the best role Hoffman did was Straight Time:banderas:

your stars are but dust on my shoes
watched 'don't worry he won't get far on foot' this past Monday. Surprised I couldn't find a thread on it..

Shyt had me low key emotional. I think many directors would struggle to make the story standout, but Van Sant did a great job. :mjcry:

I honestly DID NOT expect to like this as much as I did. :wow:

Don't let the clothes or the simp beginning fool you...Barry is certified. Dude knows his way around pistols, swords, and actually has legit hands :russ:

He actually aint shyt if I can be honest :mjlol:. Finessed his way through life for 3 hours :loldenzel2:

I might have to give the GOAT cinematographer title to Stanley Kubrick though...this was another visual masterpiece. The natural lighting made the movie look so much better...damn near every scene looks like a painting :whoo:

No one likes this movie the first time. I didn't.

I watched the final cut on 4k and fell in love with it.

Which version did you watch?

Another Kubrick classic. Been a minute since I've watched a noir film and this flick brought it all back.

That shootout :damn:

George's manipulative wife...all the way to the end :hhh:

The whirlwind of error that followed it though...all that meticulous planning just to get jammed up at the airport in the most ridiculous of ways.

Johnny was too through at the end and I was right there with him. :timmyimout:

Great film.
