Some decent ideas here and there but I couldn't finish it. By the time an hour and a half rolled by, I felt like I was forcing myself to keep watching. This was not as emotional and connecting as it wanted to be.

The dark, brooding atmosphere that I love so much in horror, though the film never really capitalized on it when it came to the story. The last act was solid but could’ve been greater than what we ended up with. Did love the fact it didn’t shy away from the brutality. The kid who played Lucas was really good, to the point where I was more invested in his trials and tribulations compared to Keri and Jesse’s characters.

Loved the final scene. Come to think of it, this movie has a good bit of memorable scenes. "Scary" Who on earth would catch a head being thrown at them?

Best werewolf transformation. Not a great movie. Cursed>>>

This made me hate Jessica Chastain lol. Very well done, loved the acting.

Finally watched this after being too shook to watch it due to its reputation.

Nothing in it was really too bad for me, and I say this as someone who ain't some hardcore horror guy. But it did a great job of conveying just a relentless sense of dread and anxiety. Maybe a little too much explaining the nature of what's going on, as I think it would be scarier if it was a little more ambigious on the background of the grandmother.

But it's a well directed movie, especially for a debut. With this and Midsommar, i'm really intrigued with what Ari Aster does in the future. I know he's working with Joaquin PhoeGOAT next.

Stunning 4k transfer with atmos to top it off. The movie is kinda slow and I started losing interest because I didn't know where it was going. It made sense in the end. Nobody told me this had witches
