Anyone who knows the history of sports knew he was done when he took that stand Trump or no trump.

From Craig Hodges, to Abdul Rauf.

I told folks on this very site the day he took the stand that he was done period.

ESPECIALLY when you consider how sports and especially the NFL aligns itself with the flag and military.

shyt damn military planes fly across every open NFL stadium every game when the anthem is playing. That tells you all you need to know.

We all knew he was done. It shows that society still has a long way to go and hasn't really progressed much. It has regressed especially in this Trump era.

I can understand how nikkaz lose their minds and start clapping people, to be honest. It's like playing a video game without a controller while your opponent has one.

on one hand, it sounds like he's asking too much :yeshrug: thats bad business

and lets be honest, what the fukk are the headlines gonna be? 'x-team signs colin kaepernick, x-team doesnt love america' and all of the fukkin redneck talking points that dominate that kinda commentary. maybe boycotts, etc

if i was an owner, i would probably sign him at a discounted rate :ehh:

i mean lets be honest; what he did was brave and respectable, but if he didnt see this coming then i really dont know what to say
Teams ain't getting boycotted enough to affect them monetarily unless they just don't win.

Stop it. NFL viewership is down and guess what we were told the reason for that was: Protests. It doesn'tmatter if it's truthful or not. You can't use logic here. Teams will be afraid to sign him due to backlash. You think teams want Trump speaking out against them? Teams need to sell apparel too. That's the shyt that they're thinking about.

I was worried if he opted out of his contract that would be his last NFL contract. Even if he opted in and played the rest of the contract they would have illegally colluded to keep him out then like they are doing right now. Other black players need to pay close attention to this man being shunned for speaking up for others who are oppressed and murdered. They treat him like he committed a crime. Plenty criminals and guys accused of crimes getting signed right now but those players don't rock the boat by speaking their minds on social issues.
Goodell, owners, gm's and media are heavy

This shows te price of speaking your mind as a black man in America, especially if it goes against the status quo. Charles Barkley's c00n ass is too stupid to see the people he capes for don't even like him.

Kaep's ventures will always get my dollars all the way from down under. This is some of the realest shyt I've seen a man do. It brought all the fake walls down and showed the KKK doesn't wear uniforms anymore.

Shannon Sharpe used to strike me as a fool once upon a time, but he's not backed down from his Kaep support (that I know of)
