You would be surprised what you can do, I never thought I could do this but here I am.

btw basic math is fine (+, -, *, \), I have not been in a situation yet that required complicated math. In JS you will learn about math methods that do everything for you, if you can use a calculator, you can become a coder.

That’s what people don’t understand. This shyt ain’t as hard as you think. You just need to take your time learning it.

SIT YOUR LAZY ASS DOWN

READ THE BOOKS...GO THROUGH THE UDEMY(ect) modules and learn the shyt. It’s not all out there if you are not a complete idiot

Anyone in here sell cars? Is it as bad as people say it is?
Sold cars for 3 years. If you're mentally tough and don't mind long hours, the occasional a$$hole customer, and competition, you'll be OK. You gain a skill set from talking face to face with people and negotiating that many don't have.

It isn't for the faint of heart especially if you're expecting benefits and time off like a corporate job. My first gig didn't give us vacation until a year had been completed.

I suggest starting at a smaller store first. The big stores will let you die then replace you with a quickness if you don't hit quotas.

It's hard to leave the auto business once you're in though. I don't sell anymore but I do consult dealerships.

Might go back to school if all else fails but I'm in an internship where you will be put in jobs catered to your desired career so maybe it'll work out from there. I might get an entry-level career in marketing so I may hit the jackpot.

Why I can’t find shyt like this!?

:damn:

It's hard to get your foot in the door because you have to prove to these companies that you know ur stuff, at the end of the day, in this field it's all about what you can do. Tech companies are starting to realize that degrees do not not equal skils, but they almost always ask for a degree when applying unless you have a portfolio to showcase all your work.

I knew nothing about coding, I started from scratch and worked my way up. There's enough material out there to teach urself, u don't need school or coding bootcamps to become a coder. All you u need is the right mind set and at least 4 hours a day.

You really don't need math. I'm still waiting to use all the shyt I learned in discrete math, linear algebra, etc... Plus, companies don't give a fukk about math. We care about thought process and if you have a basic understanding..also the languages you know are important. You don't have to know all of em, but if you know _____ then you can easily learn _____. How trainable are you? Just speaking from a development perspective. Sys admin and all that other shyt have diff requirements.

Java is currently the main language for Android development. You can probably find free resources on YouTube and paid stuff on like Udemy, Coursera, etc to walk you through the development process.

Here is a YouTube playlist from a Stanford Professor who recorded his Android lectures one semester

Brehs i downloaded an app on my phone called Grasshopper. Have ya heard of it? Don’t know a damn thing a about coding but so far it’s doing a great job of breaking things down to a remedial level for me

When I dropped out, I was a Gasoline Truck Driver making that good money :wow:

But I couldn't see myself in the future as a 50 yr old truck driver, so now I'm back in school :yeshrug:
Nothing wrong with it one thing I’m learning it’s better to have a good paying job and no debt than and good paying job with debt these student loans a trap mane. Nothing wrong with being a trucker I know truckers who make more than engineers nurses etc and they don’t have the student loan debt. It’s all about what you have a passion for and can do until you retire.

That is school, just in a different sense.

They need companies to pay for co/op schooling stuff. Employees work half the time and go to class half the time. While the employees make enough money to live. But we know companies want you to pay for your own shyt

@RadaMillz

So would you say that getting a CS degree isn’t the end all be all with this field?

If I was good in math I would go for that or computer engineering.
