They could've been Snoop and Dre. TI and Toomp. The two clearly brought the best out of each other and the results were Common having the most cohesive albums in his career. Be is my favorite Common album and Finding Forever is underrated imo.
No disrespect man, and I'm sure you meant no harm, but in reality...the shyt you saying is part of the reason why nikkas like Kanye end up spazzing out. This nikka Kanye probably hears shyt like this on a regular basis and personally if I were him it would make me wanna rip my hair out and start foaming at the mouth on some "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!!" type shyt.
Do you realize that prior to even establishing himself as a respectable rapper, Kanye had already revived Twista's career? Then Common? Gave both these dudes from the Chi', two of his idols mainstream pub and their first platinum plaques 10+ years after their debut records?? Not to mention putting his mentor NoID, the dude that produced all of Common's early work on so much so that he never had to produce another album again in his life?? In fact with 4:44 this year there was a 20 year gap for the last time NoID has produced an album...and he's been eating good as an exec so he didn't have to do that!
Kanye has done so much for the Chi, for rappers/producers in general man. Yeah he could have been whatever you think him and Common could have been, but to me he's been so much more and we gotta stop focusing on what our artists "didn't" or "don't" do, that shyt is cancerous to the creative process and the average fan doesn't realize how depressing that can be to a creative. This that shyt that causes Yeezus, lol.
Again no disrespect dude, I typically love your posting, but somebody gotta tell you..that shyt ain't cool man.

The 6th Sense, Thelonious and Nag Champa are better than ANY track on Be. Several times over, too
