Nobody wears fukking Adidas.

The Yeezys are only popular because of the resell value and people just want to flaunt like they have money. They originally sold for 200 and people resell over close to a 1,000 dollars. A bunch of celebrities and "get money" or wannabe "get money" nikkas cop them and stunt on IG with them. That's not bringing Adidas any money. That's resell money going to the original purchaser you put them shyts on Ebay. Does nothing for Adidas.
This...

The same also applies for jordans. The real loser in all of this the customer who actually buys the sneakers to WEAR them and NOT "flip them" or buy two and put one on "ice"... From the nike/Jordan standpoint, if they release retros for $120- $160, resellers buy them and would resell them for more than triple the retail. So they think if they hike up the retail price, resellers won't buy because they can't flip, so far for three straight retro releases it has worked but I would need to see it over a longer period of time.

Also the 72-10s are "sitting", you can't walk into finishline, champs or footlocker and just buy them today but then again the 11 line is Jordan brand's most popular. I am somewhat of a sneakerhead but I actually wear all of my shoes and NEVER buy multiple pairs to sell, I mean what kinda fukkin hustle is that to begin with because you can't sustain it & it moves very slow. It's mostly broke azz kids doing it.

I remember a few months ago, a couple of days after I bought my retro 7s I went looking for a shirt and some guy comes in with like 3 pairs returning them because he couldn't flip them because they could still be purchased at retail & he was complaining about having to pay other bills. I just smh and walked out but that's a microcosm of a reseller...

You still can't just walk in and cop some some restock Jordans like that :mjlol:

I got my breds and and got my infrared 6s last year I'm out the Jordan game:whew:

Of course not every shoe. I wouldn't expect for any XI's to sit but most other shoes have been easy to pick up. A few years ago, shoes that hit the sales rack when they came out originally or in the early 2000's were day one grabs (Olive IX's). Now actual heat like the Aqua 8's are still available. No complaint's from me, I'm glad the bubble has burst.

The only joints that can be flipped are the 11s. Maybe the 4s and 5s. Good luck tryna flip the rest.

And why won't Nike retro the 18s. That was my favorite joint.

ALL sell out and/or limited, plus resell. 11s are played the F out these days the Concord mania was the beginning of the end for me, then the made up colorways like the gamma and 72-10.

1) Again here we are again listening to Complex (fukking hipsters)

2) The reselling bubble is about to pop IMO because A) the price has gone up B) they're increasing the production numbers.

And they are going off the base of general releases that always have a high production number. Plus the past few colorways that have dropped have been :trash:. Next year though:whew:

Anyways, fukk the resellers.
Those 5's that are dropping in the Fall...and the gum sole 11's :ohlawd:

the resale value is finally drying up because Jordan is trying to compete with the yeezys, brons, foams which the latter are all over 200+ retail.

now their trying to release these off brand color ways for 220 retail :camby: then the young nikkas and dope boys are going to overpay for them to get them earlier when they still end up being on the shelves after release.

Amen. You couldn't have been more right about the Yeezys breh. Also, with them being so limited, it made it VERY difficult for people to cop ..and if people can't cop, you can't make money.

..and all of the shoes complex showed sitting on the shelves/online were some TRASH colorways on silhouettes that aren't in demand.
Lets see them find me a pair of Shattered Backboard 1s, UNC 1s on shelves lol ..
The 1's are trash to me now. I wouldn't wear them shyts now even though back in the day they were the shyt.
