Suge and 50 were not hard careers to end. Jimmy is a music guy...that's it, just a rich guy in the music biz. He couldn't fukk wit Jay Z or Lyor or Dame or Puff or LA Reid or Russell...basically anybody with a brain and their OWN bread. Suge was near retarted and 50 belonged to Jimmy from the jump. He's heavy in entertainment, yes...but feared, hell nah. He just plays his position VERY well.

Mmmm...I just don't think it was ever necessary to go toe to toe with jimmy...jimmy used Suge at the time for the face of the war time boss...he's the reason Suge felt so indestructible...white Jew backers.
See, Jimmy is simply the white guy other rich cacs in the music industry and elsewhere connect with to have a hand in or over rap music...he's a safe inlet valve, a conduit if you will, for cac investors into the very profitable "hood" hip hop biz.
Jimmy used to get down with Bruce Springsteen and the like back in the day...he's a safe exec to deal with for them. Both sides like him because, for example, he can bring a giant like apple to Dre's table and can bring the hood (dre for example) to apples table. Imo...aftermath has had the softest roster(especially for west coast talent) and releases of any so called MAJOR hiphop label period. That's Jimmy, his whole angle is to capture that Eminem pop/hiphop crossover crowd. I MEAN U DO KNOW THATS WHY RAKIM NEVER DROPPED OR RELEASED MATERIAL THERE...he didn't fit the pop(cac)core audience he/they wanted.
Trust...Jimmy stays in his lane...and Drake fits perfectly in it.

This. Drake didn't even write his own stuff back then. He used his Degrassi money to pay people to write his shyt since day one. If he was supposedly writing for Dre, someone else was doing the writing.
