Yall know dedicated servers also means more control for Microsoft over what you can play and potential longevity issue with online multiplayer, right? If they ever decide that those resources can be better used elsewhere (ie new COD sequel drops) they can push a button and then no more online for your favorite game, period :manny:

No because like I said they could be working on a solution right now. If it was already confirmed they would already be talking about it.

What solution???!!!!! Sony doesn't own a cloud service that folks can rent servers from & CoD is Activision's Game. It's Activision's reponsibilty.

Infinity ward may be working on a solution. So far it has not been confirmed that Microsoft would allow devs to use azure for ps4. Maybe they are working on that, or looking elsewhere for a solution.

I just need to know Sony is gonna prevent major downtime & have proper security on the network.

When has Sony said ANYTHING about any improvements on the online that you have to pay for now?

Sony stans are having a field day with their twisted backward ass logic. Ol Just because Sony has said not said anything does not mean it won't have dedicated servers ass nikkas. Its MAJOR feature! If they had it they would announce it. Until they say it has dedicated servers, it does not have it point blank. Wishes on a star doesn't help playstanleys. :russ:

Microsoft's Windows Azure was not built for a tiny division delivering shytty margins (Xbox division). It was built for software as a service for the big guns. The fact that they can leverage it for Xbox is a bonus, it'll still have to generate a decent return. So yes, any developer/publisher can use Windows Azure for any platform. Even Sony or Nintendo.

They haven't said anything yet. But using @O RLY's logic, if they haven't DENIED it, then it's still completely possible that it will happen

& I'm not wishing for dedicated servers, like I said my games run smooth on PSN dedicated servers or not

When we start seeing higher player counts & shyt being exclusive to Xbox one then we'll talk dedicated servers

Until then I'm willing to bet there will be virtually no difference overall between both consoles online gameplay
