That not his argument. He said 3rd parties are responsible for their own servers and Microsoft does not have anything to do with it. That true this gen but not next gen on the X1. The infrastructure is already there. Why build it if MS has done all the work and will let you use them on the low.
That doesn't change anything!!!!! Windows Azure is just 1 of many cloud services that they can rent servers & infrastructure from, it's not free. Developers/publishers renting servers & infrastructure for their own games is what I mean when I say that 3rd parties are responsible for the servers of their own games, not the platform holder.
Quit confusing "Windows Azure" with XBL. They're both 2 completely, separate divisions of Microsoft. Like I said before, Microsoft's "Windows Azure" was not built for a tiny division delivering shytty margins (Xbox). It was built for software as a service for the big guns. The fact that they can leverage it for Xbox is a bonus, it'll still have to generate a decent return.
