shyt u been saying this for awhile how come u think this breh?
Edit: I think I remember u saying that we probably won't get a lot of the promised projects.

I don't think we'll get them on Shady. Mostly because it just doesn't make sense. Griselda is a self contained unit, and asking Shady to just step in and distribute their product is something that Shady has never done before. Not only that, bu asking Shady to do that and NOT interfere with the product is also asking a lot. I mean, even assuming Shady wants to do exactly that...they don't have the experience doing it, and they're taking on a lot of risks.

Even if WSG and Conway stop putting images of Hitler and Osama Bin laden on their albums...it's about to be 2018...I don't think Shady wants to distribute any artist that ever did have those images on their artwork. It's too much of a PR risk in such a sensitive era.

I saw the tracklist and saw some joints cut off ('95 Ghost shyt, Vegas Brothers, the joint with Schoolboy Q, the joint with Anderson Paak, the 9th Wonder joint, the DJ Premier joint, etc.) and I thought, "Oh, those must not have made the cut on Shady due to sample clearance issues...but now listening to this on Soundcloud, it's clear that COnway had full creative control, which oddly enough I prefer over a major label release that's neutered.

And people can say "Enjoy this while we have it, because Shady will fukk with the product" but what would that even sound like? Could you even get these guys in a studio with Boi-1da or Alex the Kid? Can these dues even rap on beats that aren't Daringer or Alchemist? If Shady says, "Sorry, you can;t use Daringer" then Griselda is out of the deal, because Daringer is Griselda, love him or hate him"

:yeshrug:

TL;DR - I think we will keep getting Soundcloud/Spotify releases with them selling some vinyl and CD copies on social media to die hard fans, and I think that's how they're gonna continue their hustle. I think a lot of shyt that we don't know about behind the scenes happened in 2017 with Shady, and hopefully we will get Hall & Nash 2, Reject 3, Flygod 2, etc, as they were intended to be heard...but I don't think that will ever happen through Shady.

Skimming this right now because I can't give it a full listen at the moment.

Daringer might be getting a bit burned out. Still some flashes of what made me be a fan in the first place (Die on Xmas, XXXtras) but he might need to switch it up a bit. Th3rd has no business being nearly 6 minutes

I guess well get reject 3 with all those joints like 94 ghost and the track with q just not on shady. Those joints are classic. I think if the songs weren't cut from this and it was released how intended guaranteed classic as an album. right now it's more of a ep of probably 75 percent of the songs that were supposed to be on it. I think it's still classic as a independent album obviously they get rated differently then the proper full album.
I honestly don't think the intro would've been on the real goat that beat sounds like it doesn't have replay value. Either way he dropped it free and we'll probably get another album or two next year hopefully. fukk it off multiple listens this shyts too fire I even copped the physical fukk it lol album of the year by far.

Some really dope songs on here though, a better rollout and having 94 Ghost Shyt and maybe even Vega Bros. on here and I would've been really geeked
Likewise.

EDIT: It's hard to separate the actual album from the hype behind it and the songs we know were leftover. Trying to be balanced and fair...I'm giving it a solid 3.75 mics. Maybe a 4 if it had 2 more strong new joints, and maybe a better track sequencing.

1. G.O.A.T - I kept thinking the beat was going to drop, because it kept building and building. But not much happaned. Typical menacing beat by Daringer with solid Conway bars. Decent intro but it didn't blow me away.

2. Trump - Now this feels more like a proper kick off. Alchemist with some hard drums and a dope sample with some good collage samples and drum rolls scattered throughout. Conway's chorus reminds me of some dope early 50 Cent shyt. Too much talking at the end of the song though, but this is dope.

3. Th3rd F feat. Raekwon - Conway and Raekwon kill this. One of Rae's harder verses in a while to be honest. This beat is a 1 bar loop (with another 1 bar turnaround every 16 bars or so) for almost 6 minutes. No thank you. It reminds me of Visonware on Don't Get Scared Now. It's just too repetitive for me to replay this all that much.

4. Die On Xmas feat. Benny - Fire. This sample has been absolutely done to death, and Daringer doesn't do anything crazy with it, but the beat sounds fantastic. This is a perfect example of Daringer keeping it simple but striking the landing when the sample gives him what he wants. Benny shines bright on this.

5. Rodney Little feat. Prodigy - I bumped this so much in summer 2016 that I skipped over it. Go cop Conway and Prodigy's collab EP if you like this.

6. XXXtras - Conway basically just blacks out with no hook. Solid bars, but the beat is missing something. This is cool. The beat isn't bad, but I wish they had saved Dead Bodies Left and dropped it in this spot instead.

7. Bishop Shot Steel - Best joint on the album. Simple but perfect beat. More introspective joint by Conway. Reminds me of Through It All a little bit. This is what I was hoping more of this album would be like. Classic joint right here.

8. Mandatory feat. Royce 5'9 - This sort of reminds me of some DJ Premier shyt. The horns and the scratch sample. Conway does his thing but Royce really shines.

9. Arabian Sam's feat. Styles P - Heater. Styles P sounds perfect on Daringer and Alchemist beats and with Griselda in general. Probably a top 3 or 4 joint on the album. Great bassline on the beat, and Styles steals the show on here, but Conway holds his own.

10. Bullet Klub feat. Lloyd Banks & Benny - Again, not a new song. I burned this up a lot earlier this fall. Great beat. Benny and Banks outshine Conway on here IMO. And if I were Conway I would want my voice to be the last thing heard on my debut album. I would've maybe ended the album with Bishop Shot Steal maybe? Either way, this track is great.

That's my thing. I can't listen to a 1 bar loop for 6 minutes. That's waaaay too repetitive.

I actually didn't love the XXXtras beat as much as Arabian Sams and Bullet Klub, but I did really like the Die on Xmas beat like you did.
