I think it's pretty good. I like Reject 2 better. I dunno. I'm home for Xmas and listened to this again on the road today.

It felt more repetitive than some of their other stuff. I really think having WSG and Conway works better for both of them than either individually. They work best as a duo.

But at least a WSG hook here or there would've been a welcome burst of energy. Conway alone is just missing some depth or charisma to carry a full album. When Raekwon, Benny, Prodigy, and Banks come on this album, they shine bright.

I want to like this project more than I do. I really like about half of it and the other half I don't really like that much at all.

On this project more than any of his others, I found myself ready for the featured artist to start rapping. I definitely like this more than devils rejects and more steroids but that's about it. Conway is what he says he is. A rapping machine. But he doesn't feel as much like an "artist" as WSG, Mach Hommy, or even Benny.

Damn, I'm sort of shytting on this. I know people are liking it and it's dope.

Edit: my favorite tracks are bishop shot steel, die on xmas, bullet klub, trump, and arabian sams.
I haven't gotten a chance to let it sink in yet but this is pretty much exactly my feelings. After my first listen there was nothing that actually grabbed me like :picard:

The whole thing just seemed like it was one tone... if that makes any sense. It kinda went 60 mph steadily... it was good but... no crazy action. It was cool though.

What's kinda funny though is that I'm back referencing a Griselda convo we had a while back where I was defending Daringer when you said you didn't know if he had the juice for the marathon... I looked at the tracklist for this and was like :damn: this is the 2nd time I'm sayin you were right about that.

shyt was cool but I can't really see myself going back to it unless I feel like listening to Conway... whereas Reject 2 I'd listen to when I feel like listening to music lol.

I'll give it some more spins to see how I really feel though

I actually feel what you are saying but the overall vibe of this album is dope to me.i zone out on the repetitive beats. I'm just a fan of the griselda sound. However...to your point...I'm now expecting Hall & Nash 2 to be way better than GOAT now. no disrespect to Daringer but Alchemist is the real goat imo.

Exactly the same. "Third F" is repetitive but it could be 12 mins I wouldn't skip it. Does it make sense? No. Haha

The only comlaints when the tracklist dropped were that he played the album for a lot of cats on social media in full, and he cut 4-5 joints off it, including the one that he said was his favorite song on the album.

At least 2 of them got moved to Hall & Nash 2. '94 Ghost shyt feat. Westside Gunn and another one feat. Schoolboy Q. Both produced by ALC. Another one was a dope 9th Wonder joint.

It's just that we were surprised that it went from 15 tracks to 10 tracks, and that 2 of the 10 are old songs.

If the hype and build-up wasn't so crazy over the top then I don't think anyone would have said anything. They were saying this was the best NYC hip-hop album since 1996, and the hardest album of the last 2 decades.

I'm not exaggerating either. Those were actual quotes.

Likewise. And you should expect it to be better. I do too. Mostly because I like Conway and WSG together more than I like either of them solo, and I think Alchemist is a better producer than Daringer...which is no shade at Daringer. Daringer is a new jack and Alchemist has like 20 years in the game.

FYI...

Datpiff has a download version but, for some reason, it's missing "Bishop Shot Steele".

I will say this. It sounds nitpicking, but they are going to have problems if they can't get the quality control of their releases in better shape. Different track lists. Some files are MP3 and others are WAV. People that want to find their music can't easily find it.

I'm just saying...it's not a huge deal now, but if they don't sharpen up their roll-outs, on some level it's going to become a problem for them in the long run.
