He never should have been allowed to wear a Lakers uniform again. Instead, they make it a requirement in coaching interviews and spend all summer gassing this a$$hole.
It isn't even possible to give a fair assessment of Pelinka because the ownership is so bad. He really might be a terrible GM or he might be halfway decent but you can't even point to any decision since the Westbrook trade that was 100% his move. They have so many hands on the steering wheel right now.
He can't bench a guy like Russ unless the FO tells him to.
