Bruh my mother is a child psychologist....teenagers act defiant on a daily basis...and the cop knows this as he works around teenagers daily....yes the girl was being uncooperative and a distraction to the class.....but the use of force that was used against her was plain despicable....how else could they have removed her??...well not like that...

OK, so what would have been appropriate to remove someone that is already sitting in a desk and hanging onto it in an attempt to prevent someone from removing her from it? I haven't seen someone answer this with an effective method yet if they are against anyone putting their hands on her.

And again, this isn't someone displaying civil disobedience as an act of protest. This is a student in a classroom that decided being on her cell phone in the middle of a class session was more important than the teacher's instructions, the school's rules, administrative orders, her fellow students learning, and a police officer's orders.

Honestly, and this is going to sound fukked up, but we have to play longer game. Arguing with the cops and or not "complying" in the onset can get you killed, and you can't fight for justice when you are dead...and its clear that fighting a wrongful arrest civil suit or a racial profiling suit is easier than trying to prove the police murdered you.

I'll tell my child if the police interface with you, treat them with patience, keep your tone very calm, and for fukks sake stop telling them what they can and can't do. They are the police, as it stands now they can do whatever they want...so the concept of moral high ground is lost upon people with no morality.

As my child your first objective is to get home safely. I'd rather, as a parent you eat a misdemeanor, than me bury you.
This is true. But it's also a difficult proposition.

You are basically advocating for a modern form of slavery.

"Accept improper treatment with a smile, then go back to your oppressors later and ask them to stop"

As a father I'm gonna teach my kids exactly what you said here, but it's a sad reality and I don't blame people for not just falling in line.

IMO....there should have been at least two officers there to remove her.....one to grab her legs and another to grab her upper body....the way the one officer went about trying to remove her was disgusting...he had his arms around her neck and threw her to the ground....if you really think this was the appropriate means to remove an unruly child then I don't know what to say to you??..

Exactly. If this was a parent in their own home the police would be called to arrest the parent for abuse.

But as usual in this country we give police all the power in the world with no criticism. :smh:

Until we change the entire paradigm of policing then it won't change. It's going to get even worse before it get better too.

this going to keep happening , black lives never mattered...white ppl are going to keep treating us like animals and nikkas are going to accept it and justify it

blacks did this during slavery "oh willie got beat, that boy shouldn't of looked at that white lady...he know better, master had to do what had to do :yeshrug:"

most nikkas are cowards, thats why were in the position were in, all the real black ppl got punished and the cowards survived , thats why all our elders are docile, talking about pray to white Jesus and eat a pork sandwich to ease your pain....

Sad to say but pretty much....

black folk need to stop making a big deal outta all of this, if we are not gonna do shyt. Can't keep sellin wolf tickets :manny:

Let her sit there.

She wasn't a danger to anyone.

Do you have experience working with youth or in classrooms? And i'm not being confrontational with that question, i'm seriously asking. Because just letting someone behave in any manner they see fit because they aren't being physically aggressive is the LAST thing you are supposed to do. There's a reason teachers are trained to call for assistance to have kids escorted out of classes when they don't comply.

Yes I do. And I also have kids of my own.

Ignoring tantrums is actually the best way to get them to stop.

Getting into a shouting match/fight with a child does nothing but reinforce the behavior.

Now she feels justified in her actions. Had they just ignored her and let her make an ass of herself then suspend her she might have learned a lesson.

Once her desk fell backwards he could've grabbed her by the arm and removed her from the desk
