Change is inevitable...
Nice anecdote
The problem is two-pronged:
1. not enough minority representation in law enforcement
2. not enough law enforcement reform.

My point is that even if the cops were black..they would still be killing black folk because NYPD POLICING IS BASED ON STATISTICS AND QUOTAS.Your point only applies to the overall force's make up and is misleading anyway because the NYPD's diversity membership mainly consists of Hispanics, not blacks. Only 10% of the NYPD's latest graduate class was black. The rest--90%--were non-black. Since NYPD cops are spread over a large areas and some blacks are inevitably working in an office, that means that there are likely less than 10% black officers active on the streets. This implies the overwhelming majority of NYPD cops on the street are non-black.

Still need qualified cats to infiltrate the ranks and go against the grain. That dude was probably long time c00nin before he even became an officer. I could show you videos where I've seen high ranking black police officers who you could tell were visibly upset.....My point is that even if the cops were black..they would still be killing black folk because NYPD POLICING IS BASED ON STATISTICS AND QUOTAS.
Its 2014...why do you think someone cant type online and be in the field.this thread and all others like it are apart of the problem. posting memes with malcom and martin on IG and FB are apart of the problem. if you aren't outside doing something then what's the point? how many times are we going to type about this? it's a sad day when nikkas keyboards and fingers are more exhausted from protest than our actual bodies.
Word...go to Bay Ridge on a Friday night in the Summer. Their youth can walk along the ave with NO PROBLEM...sometimes wildin the fukk out...no cops, no heads gettin busted...none of thatfukk reform. We need our own shyt. You think Hasids, Arabs and Chinese in NY give a fukk about low representation in law enforcement. They all have lower numbers than blacks combined in the NYPD and seem to get along just fine breh. Come to a Hasid area in Brooklyn and start some shyt and watch their black car patrols handle it. The NYPD doesn't even get involved in their matters unless outsiders are involved and thats only to haul the outsiders to jail.
These groups have the economic base and political clout to do whatever on their own terms and don't let just anyone waltz into their communities. shyt, even the gay community has sizable power because their bring them gay ass dollars (lol) with them to a point where you gotta respect their gangsta and try not to think about dikks being ate (no homo).
Point being that us trying to get in where we fit in is a tired ass concept. Building our own is the only way. And building today is very realistic because we have the manpower and believe it or not we do have the money
To all my Dallas people, If you haven't already done it please stop listening to K104 because they're on that bullshyt. The 2 black women on there are basically giving the finger wag to the black community, they're saying if we would've voted stuff like this wouldn't happen.
voting is one aspect of it
how are you/we supposed to get new laws on the books if the people who make the laws don't care? Democrats sat at home this midterm, as they always do. Now the ones who are about that action, are taking to the street to cover for the lazy ass cats who stayed home.
Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have anything to offer working-class Afrikans. This is a systemic problem and both parties are representatives and managers of that system.
I never said what party you should vote for. I said you should've been active in the election.
And I'm saying that's basically irrelevant because there is no mass movement to put pressure on these representatives of the ruling class, nor is there a working-class alternative at the moment.
There needs to be a set of demands that independent organizations get behind
alternative political options advanced and made viable in elections.
Can you go again tomorrow? I'm gonna be out thereProtested last nightmy people were in full effect.
