Whatever you get make sure it has USB ports and SD card slots.

:ehh:

I use these on my older macbook. with sd cards ranging from 200 to 500 GB :wow:

The longevity you'll get from the mac over the acer will pay for itself 3x over

Yeah I see folks using the same mac for years while the acer would likely need to be replaced after 3 years

My only issue is apparently some apps crash on the new OS because it is so new

Unless something has changed in the newer ones, my macbook only lasted like 4 years then it started overheating and crashing and all of that.
But that was years ago to be fair

That’s an intel problem. That’s literally why they designed their own silicon which has set the standard for thermal management, performance and battery life.

you can get a hub something like this if you have basic needs.

I mean yeah having to use a dongle for SD cards is annoying but I damn sure wouldn’t be bothered with windows because of that :heh:

Nah fukk that.
Whats the point of being a laptop if I have to have extra space or a table available just to insert a simple SD card? Especially in my line of work where space isn't always available.
Its more of them removing basic stuff just so they can sell you something that only works with their products to do what they removed.

My laptop shyt the bed awhile ago and I'm looking to get a new one

Using it mainly for web browsing, streaming movies/tv and possibly getting into video editing. I want to be able to have bout 15 tabs open without the shyt getting sluggish.

Should I just get the new Macbook Air with the M1 chip? :lupe: Never had a macbook before. if any coli brehs have it let me know how its working for you so far.

also looking at the Dell XPS 13 and the Acer Swift 3. Looking to spend $1000 or less.

get a refurbished probook for like 200 bucks and gamble with the rest on OTC stocks

The M1 is nice and probably the most advanced laptop in terms of raw power and speed and battery life.

It’s a good shout if the budget fits.

I’m getting a Surfsce Laptop 3 due to work and been watching a lot of YouTube reviews who recommend the MacBook over everything out.

I have a MBP 2016 (Touchbar) which is still doing bits and have no issue with one single that has 2 USB-A and a HDMI.

Then only time I use the USB is when I’m using old devices.
