I haven't been to DC since last March when the org I work for mandated remote work so I don't know what it's like over there, but up here in Howard County, supermarkets are as crowded as they were pre-covid. Costco, Wholefoods, Wegman's, all crowded as hell. People not really paying attention to social distancing or any of that sort. Luckily everyone is still wearing masks. We're not as crowded in the county vs Baltimore, Montgomery, or PG, so I can imagine how those places must be.
TBF, people in DC have taken this seriously.

The problem is the vaccination website was stupid and made it hard for people to sign up.

WASHINGTON, DC
I remember how press was just treating it like a 60 sec segment in news.
Then it got to WA and CA, and everything started to spiral.

This was the week last year where we all left the office for good, as we were to do a 'trial run' that turned into a permanent fixture. No one I know has died from it, at least close, but it feels like I was born into another life as I miss the open aspect.

I myself took it for granted, I didn't expect all this weird shyt the virus could do.

I been in Bowie and Laurel like 90% of the time since last March. Job in DC still remote. No timetable right now for office reopening.

I was in DC yesterday. Hit up one of my friends who I hadn’t seen in a year.

City looks frozen in time. Traffic has picked up but not terrible. Downtown still is pretty empty.

Union Market, U Street, 14th Street all looked pretty active but nothing wild.

Was looking at the Maryland covid map and I just had to shake my head at Hagerstown having the most covid cases in the state.
