It's the endgame but a lot of people that don't want to get vaxxed say that it doesn't matter because people that are vaxxed can get sick anyways. I've seen people say this all the time. And apologies if we're saying the same thing and I just misunderstood, but I'm seeing a lot of shrugs at the vaccine, thinking it's pointless, because it doesn't entirely prevent infection.
That's all I meant by highlighting the article. That and the fact that since we've been slow to take the vaccine to begin with, that we shouldn't be surprised at more mutations and potentially reaching a point where there's a more vaccine resistant strain.
I do think the media and the government did a sub-par job explaining to people how vaccines work, and not to expect invisibility from Covid just because they got the shot. Anti-vaxxers are using the fact that breakthrough cases simply exist (no matter how low the percentage) as a reason why it's not even worth getting the shot.
No worries, we are saying the same thing. I just wanted to highlight key points I felt are important
