People showing off their Josef Stalin stances in here :gag:

"OH, the economy is more important. Who cares about people over 60?"

Who make them arguments, outside of basement dwellers and serial killers?
You think Stalin cared more about the economy than the people?

That's not what I asked. Have you gone running since this thing started?

I have seen no situations where people are running within 10 metre of each other.
Lots of people are, the lake in Oakland has always been a popular place to exercise, even more so now that outdoor exercise is one of the main alternatives with no gyms, I went to walk it one day and it was packed. I decided to bounce, but a lot of people are out in public spaces trying to exercise and walking/running past one another since “it’s not really contact”

This is my 1st time having a job that offered severance. Do you still qualify for unemployment if you accept the severance?
I was able to draw both in 2010 when I got laid off. I did take a tax hit several years later on back taxes because I got paid out for all of my accrued vacation, so I got dinged for over payment on that plus interest. But the unemployment folks should be able to give you specifics.

Good luck.

:francis: indeed

I wonder if other countries are only reporting confirmed cases and not probable ones.
I know in the beginning Italy was reporting even the probable ones as corona deaths, not sure if they changed their policy recently.

You would think that we would try our best to protect our most vulnerable population. But old people are getting zero love and respect.

Get old brehs

That's what I'm saying. Cats are in here acting like they aren't ever gonna be in that position. By the time a lot of people in here get old who the fukk knows how long the average human lifespan will be.

If you don't set a precedent for caring about everyone, then one day you'll be one of those that are neglected and not given a fukk about by your own kids and grandkids.

Coronavirus May ‘Reactivate’ in Cured Patients, Korean CDC Says

At this point testing could be faulty, treatment could be insufficient or not lasting long enough, re-infection or worst case, you never fully get cured and are susceptible to re-activation.
I shot this link to my epidemiologist friend and asked if he knew anything about this. As of 7-10 days ago he said that he and his team (private anti-virus task force in California) did not believe it was a Biphasic Virus that re-infects. He said they thought a lot of these people testing positive again never really shook it, and that it was more likely we were seeing false negatives when it appeared that they were clear of the virus.

But 7-10 days is a long time, and info is moving fast. I doubt he'll know anything that you aren't able to find online, and he may have a hunch but that's still just anecdotal. But I still went ahead and asked him.
