the goal was to have the most vulnerable of our population protected from serious symptoms and death from the virus and getting back to normal

this is part of why there's some folks, sans the politically-motivated ones, that are skeptical about the entire process. i could've sworn mutation/variant talk was widespread last year. now the CDC wasn't considering them while pushing the vaccine on folks under emergency usage
