The only way it could work is if Kojima isn't involved in any way, shape or form.

Yeah I know, I'm just answering the OP. If you want a MGS movie just watch the cut scenes in the games.

I love Metal Gear Solid but man those cutscenes could use some editing. Snake is CONSTANTLY asking questions that don't need asking. Characters always contextualize what they're talking about even though the person they're talking to clearly already would know what they're referring to.
In fact, if none of these questions existed in the game, none of the conversations would be affected at all. Most of the replies to these questions would be something to the effect of "No duh Snake" or "What? Did I stutter?"
Once you start paying attention to them it's really hard not to laugh whenever one comes up..

Sorkin esque![]()
This reads like Brian Michael Bendis' entire Avengers run.
Who coincidentally happened to cite Sorkin as a huge influence.
Kojima writing is more like over-exposition though.
"The Target Console Nucleus was an organization from the 50's responsible for the Dead Chain Protocol, leaving hundreds of terrorized citizens in permanent mental flux, that energy being harvested and injected into the brain of a single man."
"Don't tell me..."
"That's right, George Quintly, president of the Humane Electric Liberator Lounge. H.E.L.L., one of the benefactors that supplied atomic bombs to the Russians during the '73 Turkey riots. Riots which were started over the unlawful execution of Abdul Da-labaleb, a private engineer but also, Target Console Nucleus' chief of fiances."
