The 90's would not have been the era for Drake in Hip Hop but he may been a fit in the Jon B of r & b lane; Rick Ross most certainly would have been laughed out the game after the corrections exposure and not because that was his job, because he lied about it

***snorts 49seconds***

corrections officer exposure wouldnt have done shyt to rick ross,dr dre n ice cube biggest frauds on the west coast ever. eazy and luke exposed dre, dre didnt lose not 1 step, and they was calling dre waaaaaaaay before pac

The game denied the change of heart shyt up until footage came out

No.

He wouldn't be "like Lauren", she actually had core rap fan cred via The Fugees. "The Score" outsold Drake's whole discography before she even dropped her solo album. So she was solidified as a rapper first and foremost.

He wouldn't be "like Diddy", because Drake would have no BIG. If Diddy didn't have BIG the vast majority of rap fans wouldn't have fukked with him.

He wouldn't be "like LL", because LL Cool J was already 10 years deep in the game by the mid 90s.

He wouldn't be "like Mase", who was Murda Mase holding his own against Cam and Big L years before he wore a shiny suit.

Drake would've been a Candyman type rapper. Successful, but in a niche.

Drake would've been murdered in the 90s.

***snorts 22seconds**

dislike the nikka with a passion, but drake would not get murdered in any part of the 90s, only nikkas who had issues in the 90s brought that shyt on themselves.

dont make the 90s harder than they actually where, drake could have ate better than he does now because everybody was going gold and platinum back then you had 2 of the same songs damn near one by tag team and the other by the 69boys both of them bytches stayed on rotation n sold millions of records.

drake could have survived, 90s had a gang of studio gangsters, remember pac said it himself in every argument about biggie, he said he told biggie to make a album for the bytches, what does drake do.?

Waaaaait a minute so you think a light skinned Jewish guy from Toronto making a song like 5AM in Toronto would've gone down well in the 90s?

I'm telling you right now he'd have been hit by a car in NY in the 90s and probably kidnapped on the West Coast. The 90s was a fukking battle royale, you had to be ruthless to survive and guys like Pac were a product of that era.

Wu Tang would've made a smear campaign against him, he literally would've been the bytch of the entire 90s era. He'd have made Vanilla Ice look and sound like a fukking 80s Ice Cube.

He wouldn't have made it because in the 90s you had to act like you were this superhero type thug to get any respect.

There was no being your self in the 90s. You had to play gritty street character with outlandish hood tales, to get fanfare.

Breh c+c music factory made it, and before drake, a peckerwood named snow who did jamaican music that was from toronto, went platinum twice with no problems.

wu tang wouldnt have done shyt, all the bankhead bounce music coming out the south, master p and the tank, silkk the shocker of all people, e-40 is the only rapper from the pac n big era thats still relevant and we all know big didnt fukk with e-40 40 is a acquired taste and he still eating..

you had to make good music to survive in that era you didnt have to be skilled look at too shorts history pimpin version if dr suess and said the same shyt every album.

pm dawn softest thing in the rap game, member got thrown off stage by krs, only for the next album to still go gold

Am I wrong?

Its not the rappers fault they were just playing up to the image that would get them paid and Famous.

Thats why Kanye is who he is. Rappers are able to be themselves now.

But Snow kept to his lane and shut the fukk up into irrelevance. Wu-Tang would've definitley done something about it, especially since his flow is completely East Coast bitten. You don't understand breh, the amount of slick shyt that comes out of Drakes mouth is almost :wow: at how he gets away with it. Again I allude to 5AM in Toronto (arguably his braggadocios) song. It's :mindblown: to think about but some one like Pac hearing that would've unleashed hell on him.

That's not entirely accurate. If Dre was on his own that shyt would've ended his career.

The momentum of Death Row at that point was too much to derail but once he left Death Row, he tried to leave his gangsta image alone, and his first album after that barely went platinum. He didn't get his shyt back together until he signed Eminem.

The 90s is the most diverse era PERIOD.

:snoop: A Tribe Called Quest was making music being themselves whilst sonically being :mindblown:

What artistry does Drake bring to the genre? Autotune signing, C level raps and a motor mouth. All this and he's Jewish :what:

You know what fukk it, you're a hopeless case.

No, people actually were super thugs back then. 80s, 90s NY and Cali were war zones. Other places like Chicago back then would make Chicago now look like Sesame Street.

Death Row was serious. Wu-Tang was serious. BONE was serious. None of these people were "playing roles" and they were selling a fukk ton of records back then. Drake would have a small niche, probably a couple platinum albums, but he'd be on the fringe, outskirts of rap music.

And for the record we need to differentiate between "existing" and "running shyt". Yes he would exist, probably quite comfortably. Run shyt? You can't be serious.
