Bron hasn't dealt anything near a gambling scandal. You're downplaying how poor a look it was at the time, especially with the pete rose scandal still kinda fresh. Gambling addictions also lead to crime. When has bron been questioned about his personal lifestyle choices?

Exactly. This shyt MJ and Kobe went through with the media Lebron has never had to deal with, and good for him, but you can’t compare it.

Y’all acting like MJ would be moving the same :mjlol: he’d obviously adapt to this social media era. All the nikka did was golf, gamble and win championships.

Athletes today are much more protected in my opinion.

Im not saying MJ wouldnt adapt, im saying the media is super trash now. I dont think ANYONE would agree with you in saying the media protects athletes more now. :heh:NOW?! Its a million more ways for someones image to take a hit, way more than past eras come on

If MJ was in this era, he'd have bytch nikkas hating him and bytch nikkas breaking their back to excuse anything he did, just like LeBron. If he was putting up the same numbers and going undefeated in the Finals, he'd still be the GOAT, anyway. Y'all give the comments section of social media apps and forums far too much credit.

So what part of Jordan’s image would take a hit? I don’t think anyone today would care if MJ was gambling, bulls still won the series, I don’t think it would matter.

The hypothetical makes no sense. If MJ came of age in this era he'd probably have a completely different atttude towards social media.
Your argument is basically taking a time machine and placing a 90's person into 2010s. Of course they'd be a disavantage :gucci:

but if he grew up with this shyt like all of us did, it would obviously be different. a person from 1100 BC knows nothing about guns, but if they grew up now they wouldn't still be using bows an arrows.

When has Bron done anything (that can be proven) in his personal life that deserves questioning?

So if he came up today he wouldn't cheat on his wife with white women and disrespect people who approach him for autographs?

Yall are proving the point bringing up Lebron. He hasn't actually done anything "bad" or illegal and he's still the number one topic in the media over the last decade. He's been getting slandered the last 3 weeks just for not being Michael Jordan lol

Ya'll are also playing dumb and ignoring the fact that despite the gambling stuff Mike was still sold as the perfect ideal athlete. We're talking about Michael Jordan he is the sports equivalent of Jesus Christ.

His whole image would be different today

Can Jordan handle shyt talking on twitter and instagram? :mjlol:

The man lives to talk shyt and to prove people wrong. His twitter would be nothing but pinned tweets that doubted him.

Now, would he be able to survive with TMZ on his ass? Probably. Would he be able to survive espn? The same network that kisses lebron's ass 24/7? Absolutely.

BWAHHAHAHA

Tell me of the wall to wall coverage of that "gambling scandal." At no point in your time in here have you even heard of the dude Slick that he owed until this documentary. That was news to YOU. If it were such a large oppressive scandal, Slim and MJ would be partners in arms any time his name is mentioned.

Stop revising the past. That scandal and the news around it was a joke.

This era is the age of cameraphones. The idea that it's all about social media is hilarious. Him getting drunk at some club, at a casino at 2am (lol at AC being a 1 hour drive from NYC) or blowing people off would have been recorded and been an issue.

Him walking out the hotel with a skank would have been an issue.

He would have it so much worse exhibiting his same behavior today. That gambling scandal thing is a JOKE compared to what he'd face if under the same scrutiny today. There are 30 times more sports hacks trying to make a name for themselves in the business and no doubt many would try to clout chase trying to smear his name.
