This era is the age of cameraphones. The idea that it's all about social media is hilarious. Him getting drunk at some club, at a casino at 2am (lol at AC being a 1 hour drive from NYC) or blowing people off would have been recorded and been an issue.

Him walking out the hotel with a skank would have been an issue.

He would have it so much worse exhibiting his same behavior today. That gambling scandal thing is a JOKE compared to what he'd face if under the same scrutiny today.
