Prime Kobe most overrated player ever, people talking bout how dominant he had 4 games shooting 41% or less in that Houston series, two of them Ws cause he was fortunate enough to have Gasol/Odom, etc pick it up for him
Lets just forget about him averaging 34/6/6 in the WCF right after.
Kobe was far from overrated in the '08-'10 playoffs. I think it will be awhile before we see a team lead by an SG go to 3 straight Finals averaging 30/5/5 in the process.

Shane Battier was an elite defender, Raja Bell was an elite defender, young Tony Allen was a great defender, Bruce Bo was an elite defender....This idea of defenders is really nothing to Kobe so I'm not bugging off of that...The issue is Steph...Lamar is one of the last guys in recent memory who is a plausible matchup for KD and young Ariza would draw the Klay assignment...I can't lie this sounds like an excellent matchup

LO and prime Pau would be a tough cover for anyone. Kawhi with a frontcourt of Aldridge and 50-year old Pau was on the road 20 piecing "The Greatest Team Ever" before Zaza put an end to that.

As I said earlier the key would be Lamar Odom. He's the antidote to the Warriors small lineup that typically runs teams off the court.
Lamar is a 6'11" SF/PF hybrid who can not only bang in the post but he can also defend the 3-point line.
He would be the answer to the 3 for 2 counter move the Warrior would pull. Lakers would put him on KD defensively. And while nobody is shutting down KD, Lamar would have as good a chance as anyone given his length and mobility. Then on offense he would post up KD because he was stronger.
Lamar Odom is the Lakers X-Factor and the reason they ultimately win.
On paper the Warriors are more talented. But the game of basketball is about matchups. And the 09 Lakers match up very well with them.
Golden State would have no answer for the Lakers frontcourt. Gasol, Odom, and Bynum would eat em up.

This would actually be a great matchup for Fish. Steph can't hand physical defense. Dellavadova took him out of several games in 2015 by getting physical with him. Cavs did the same thing in 2016 once again.
I think Fish would be able to shut down Steph for a couple of games by being physical with him.
