Part of the problem is scientists/doctors can tell us everything we want to know about the virus, but there’s a human element that’s missing. There’s so much bloody back and forth people start tuning out the messenger whether they’re right or wrong.

also doctors didn’t realize how moronic people are. They’re going to do their own thing regardless. Should have never lifted the mask mandate. Should never have thought that people would do the right thing either.

Cases by month

why do you keep screaming about a mask mandate :snoop:. You doom and gloom posters are ignorant

I completely forgot about kids that can’t get vaccinated.

brehs in this thread straight up saying let them die just because they wanna be right?

SMH
Do you have kids? It cant feel too good knowing you can't vax your children that are under 12. They should die too huh? fukk em huh? Long as parents get they shot they shouldn't worry about they children and should just let them die?
Breh is clearly referring to people who are ELIGIBLE to get vaccinated yet refuse to do so. Ain't nobody trying to see little kids die:what:

This whole thing is a joke. If mask work then it was a bad idea to ever get rid of the mandates. The fact that they couldn't see unvaccinated people would just lie is laughable. These government officials look like morons now. No take backsies.
Have trust in the American people brehs :francis:, half the country are full of idiots and that should always be included in any calculation.

Or maybe the info they have clearly supports the notion that vaccinated people are likely to spread the virus and don’t want that narrative to make the rounds

Why? Because it makes any notion of mandatory vaccination absolutely untenable

:gucci:

You clearly didn't read what you posted.

In this study, we characterized all Covid-19 breakthrough infections among 39 fully vaccinated health care workers during the 4-month period after the second vaccine dose and compared the peri-infection humoral response in these workers with the response in matched controls. We found a low rate of breakthrough infection (0.4%). Among the 39 workers who tested positive for Covid-19, most had few symptoms, yet 19% had long Covid-19 symptoms (>6 weeks).

Most of the infected health care workers had N gene Ct values that suggested they had been infectious at some point. These workers included some who had been asymptomatic and thus who had infections that would not have been detected without the rigorous screening that followed any minor known exposure. This factor suggests that at least in some cases, the vaccine protected against symptomatic disease but not against infection. However, no secondary infections were traced back to any of the breakthrough cases, which supports the inference that these workers were less contagious than unvaccinated persons, as has been reported previously.

Zero break through cases led to further infections. So what in the actual fukk are you talking about?

EDIT:

And then on top of that, it's alpha not delta.

Dog, don't quote me no more. :unimpressed:

Looking to travel soon so my mom says, maybe you should get the vaccine since you're going on a plane. Me reluctantly, ok I'll get it tomorrow to be on the safe side and hope I don't get any serious side effects. Still gonna keep wearing my mask tho cuz as much as I distrust the vaccine, I distrust other humans more. :francis:

With that being said,

My mom: you should get vaccinated.

Covid: We gonna invent some new shyt then.

Yahoo is now a part of Verizon Media

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is monitoring more than 10 other variants in addition to B.1.621 that's popping up in South Florida.

They just keep coming up with shyt ready to be released. :francis:

All these Rolling Loud visitors prolly bout to go spread these variants all over the country

No secondary infections because obviously those infected were isolated

So you didn’t read the study you cited, and now that it doesn’t say what you thought it’s said, you just make shyt up? :heh:

:comeon:

However, no secondary infections were traced back to any of the breakthrough cases, which supports the inference that these workers were less contagious than unvaccinated persons, as has been reported previously.4,5,17,18 Mandated isolation after positive results on RT-PCR assay regardless of vaccination status could have contributed to this observation.

Our study has several limitations. First, even though we provide extensive documentation of a cohort of breakthrough infections, the numbers of cases were relatively small. Second, this cohort represents mostly young and healthy persons, and all breakthrough infections were mild and did not require hospitalization. Thus, we could not determine the correlate of protection from severe infection or infection in vulnerable populations of older persons with coexisting illnesses.

You can see @hex conveniently left that part out.
