And then on top of that, it's alpha not delta.

Dog, don't quote me no more. :unimpressed:

Fred.

The breakthrough cases are to be expected, the CDC briefing states, and will probably rise as a proportion of all cases because there are so many more people vaccinated now. This echoes data seen from studies in other countries, including highly vaccinated Singapore, where 75 percent of new infections reportedly involve breakthrough cases.

A person working in partnership with the CDC on investigations of the delta variant, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak, said the data came from a July 4 outbreak in Provincetown, Mass. Genetic analysis of the outbreak showed that people who were vaccinated were transmitting the virus to other vaccinated people. The person said the data was “deeply disconcerting” and a “canary in the coal mine” for scientists who had seen the data.

Yeah I'm gonna keep quoting you

According to data updated Wednesday by the Illinois Department of Public Health, 169 people in Illinois have died due to COVID-19 or complications after being fully vaccinated. That figure equates to 2.44% of COVID-19 deaths in the state since Jan. 1, officials said.

At least 644 fully vaccinated people have been hospitalized in Illinois, IDPH said. The state only reports breakthrough infections among those who have been hospitalized or died, following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, IDPH said.

Those totals mean 10 more fully vaccinated individuals have died and 51 more have been hospitalized in the past week since the state last updated its reported numbers.

Ya'll can stay in denial all you want, the data coming out don't lie
What data? Where’s the published data on vaccinated infecting at the same rates as unvaccinated? You haven’t provided a thing. Breakthrough infections does not equate to transferability. and none of those Singapore cases have anyone beyond mild cases. The fukking point of the vaccine. Site is full of complete idiots

There are 6 million vaccinated people in Illinois. 170 died. What’s your point? That’s microscopic. 0.0002 percent of vaccinated have died. That’s insanely great vaccine protection

You're missing the point. Nobody is suggesting the vaccine isn't great protection or that vulnerable people shouldn't get it.

The reason this is being brought up is because some lunatics are talking about mandatory vaccination when it's clear the virus is transmissible through vaccinated people to a significant extent.

The "vaccinate yourself to protect others" narrative is dead. People have been pulling out pitchforks to hate on people who choose not to get the vaccine, there is immense social pressure and animosity when it's increasingly obvious that this "PANDEMIC OF THE UNVACCINATED" IS straight BULLshyt

It's yet another way to divide people and ya'll are playing right into their hands. Wake the fukk up

The CDC, same idiots you keep quoting, called it a pandemic of the unvaccinated last week. Because that’s what it is. The vaccinated, unless you’re elderly with underlying conditions, have virtually zero risk. The unvaccinated, however, good luck. I’m vaxxed up. I couldn’t give a flying fukk about folks that aren’t. We can all hold our own nuts. I fully support ending all restrictions, and letting folks be responsible for their own choices. The vaxxed and unvaxxed can all move freely as they see fit. We’ll see what group ends up getting wiped out

I already warned you once to keep outta my mentions with this goofy ass shyt.

1. The CDC guidelines are from an unpublished non peer reviewed study.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...aaa6b2-efce-11eb-a452-4da5fe48582d_story.html

2. The study you keep quoting is alpha, not delta.

3. The 75% number you threw out from Singapore includes people with one shot as "break through cases", and Sinovac mixed in with other vaccines.

This same Sinovac:

1.4 billion doses later, China warms to using mRNA COVID vaccines

Singapore has the 12th highest coronavirus vaccination rate in the world — similar to that of many counties in the Bay Area and using largely the same types of vaccines.

But in the past month, people who have received at least one vaccination dose have accounted for three-quarters of coronavirus infections in Singapore.

#3 in particular is the type of shyt I'm talking about. You post "gotcha!" type info blurbs without actually researching anything.

And I'm :dead: at Illinois. Dog, are you retarded? That's 169 people out of 25,908.

What is your over arching point here? I can't for the life of me figure out what your end game is.

"Pandemic of the unvaccinated" is bullshyt. Ok.

NPR Cookie Consent and Choices

"There is a clear message that is coming through: This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated," Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC's director, said at a Friday briefing of the White House COVID-19 Response Team.

That line is literally a quote from the same person you're using to prop up your arguments in this thread.

I dunno if you're slow, a troll, or maybe a combination of both.

I'm not vaxxed, caught COVID already, shrugged it off within a week and am probably just as immunized as you are against Delta so stop masquerading as if folks that are unvaxxed will "be wiped out".

Of course taking the vaxx is easier than living a healthy lifestyle. If you are vulnerable and don't vaxx up then it's on you and you fukked up indeed but this divide and conquer and shaming shyt is silly as fukk

Glad to know that's your stance but very few people are wise enough to adopt that mindset.

I don't care that that dumb bytch said it. People are running with it. I'm used to these officials flip flopping and if data shows they were wrong then they were wrong.

Been my stance for over a year. If you’re worried about someone passing it to you, either vax up or stay home. Otherwise you’ll be gambling because you will contract the disease eventually. I couldn’t care less how that gamble ends up. You happened to win. Some won’t. The overwhelming number that won’t will be unvaccinated. That’s their choice. That’s life. It goes on.

Then why are you constantly quoting the CDC as some kinda infallible source of information? :gucci:

The line you got an issue with came from the CDC.

The mask guide lines based on a non-peer reviewed study you're so fond of quoting....came from the CDC.

You think "the data" didn't show this is....in fact....a pandemic of the unvaccinated?

Again, what is your end game here?

Again, I couldn't give a fukk who said what. The data will come out and it's already obvious from looking at other countries.

Vaccines don't stop the spread so how the fukk is it a pandemic of the unvaccinated.

Obviously people who are vaccinated and asymptomatic won't get tested so obviously only a fraction of their infection and secondary cases will show up in the numbers. Sure you can point at hospitalization numbers and deaths to make a case that the vaccine work but no way in hell you can say that the spread is contained within unvaxxed circles.

This is the point of the vaccine. :dead:

no one ever said you won’t get infected. The point is not worrying about issues when you do, which is an exponentially less of a threat than rolling without a vaccine.
