 Call me what you want, but this chick is a mess. I wasn't sold on her face, but the entire package is :whoa:

Now the controversy with Lupita is interesting to me. On one hand, she is legit BEAUTIFUL. Like really, what can be said bad about her?
Problem? She isn't, at least to me, attractive. Like think about it, especially the brehs, having people tell you that you are nice looking, yet
you still at home solo on Friday night.

Lupita is absolutely 10/10 in the face and how she carries herself, but at least for me, she has no sex appeal, and I definitely wouldn't look at
her twice in the street. Add to the fact that I like long hair, it is like the whole package is like ":ld:Awwww, thats nice." and then I end up with a chick
who clearly isn't on Lupita's facial level. She would be analogous to the white version of the "All-American beauty" in which even for white guys, the most
hyped chicks aren't even what attracts them. Lupita is similarly polarizing in that if all black men put her on a pedestal for beauty, the ladies would be pissed
off when they actually see what we go for when it is time to date a chick. Even moreso if the chick we date looks eurocentric.

I think Lupita is much like Gabby Sidibe in that white media propped them up to a point, whereas if blacks put up our ideals, they would be different.
The problem is we are so underrepresented that we usually will take anything, and since Lupita is whats hot, the idea of black men and women not
finding her to be all that is seen as a super-offense, like we have to support any black person who is winning (we should, but thats another conversation).

The lupita situation sorta reminds me of Black leadership who were all about their people but went home to white wives. We can love lupita for being on top,
but that doesn't mean she would be our personal choice.
Regarding bold I think we do don't mean. I have to think she attractive though. As far as her success I'm happy for her and everybody else esp my fellow blacks but that still don't make her attractive. The other stuff I agree with esp the sentence above bold. Discussing her feels like some sort if referendum on you liking black women when I can't remember women once ever doing this to their own gender regarding skin tone.

Exactly. Ill give an example

Bianca Lawson vs Lupita. Obvious, HUGE differences. Skin color being the one in the forefront. They both are similarly slender, fairly curveless chicks, and both
are ridiculously beautiful. Lupita, on the other hand, never takes a bad photo. She quite literally has one of those perfect faces, the kinda that reminds me of when I was
a young boy and was smitten with Grace Jones

:noah:

Now some people might say Grace Jones is ugly, just as some say that for Lupita, and thats opinion. Thing is, different strokes. I would say without a doubt that
Lupita is on another level of beauty vs Bianca lawson. She really has a timeless sort of youthful face.

The problem is, if both walked into the room, it would seem like sacrilege for anyone to prefer Bianca over Lupita, and would turn into a hateful "colorstruck" plantation
argument. There really is no winning despite what you do when it comes to Lupita. Either you are caping extra hard because it is rare for a woman her tone to get shine,
or you are c00ning because you aren't attracted to her.

Yes, I would pick Bianca over lupita, as I don't find lupita sexually attractive. Part of that is her perpetually short her, the other is her level of youthfulness is a bit more
extreme than what Bianca has on display, almost to the point of

I remember when Wesley Snipes and Taye Diggs were winning, LOTS of women wanted to jump them brothas. For the ones that didn't though, it wasn't a problem.
For men though, it seems we have to come up with 101 reasons NOT to like a dark skinned chick or else we look suspect. Thats kinda the trend im seeing.
Supporting BW winning isn't enough, we also have to want to fukk them. If im being blunt. I don't know, there are no winners in the Lupita debate. Never saw a black woman
polarize black people so much:heh:

Totally, nothing about her face screams ugly or average. I believe if she was lighter she wouldn't get the shade.
I get what you are saying, but I hate when people say this. If she was lighter, her features might look really strange. Its like black people with thin lips
or white people with afros. Changing the shade doesn't suddenly make someone more or less attractive. It changes the dynamics completely. We can look
at an albino and know from jump why they look out of place.
