The nikka spent most of his life on the border between texas and mexico. If he was really from chicago he would know what time it is letting his boys throw me under the fukking bus like that.
If he wasnt in some backwater border town his little fat fukk friend would understand the concept of sampling good breaks. but they dont. They didint grow up with this hip hop shyt as a culture, as a way of expression. I cant expect anybody who didint to really feel and understand the type of music i come from. the shyt that i sampled that is supposed to go on his album, ella fitzgerald, the force md's, bozz and scaggs, minnie ripperton, and the ultimate breaks series, you think these nikkas out there know about that or even understand the signifigance as to why i use that?
Of course hed think im wack. and of course c-styles would giggle and let him shyt on me, hes not from any place where real nikkas who hold each other down come from. He aint me, so hes not a veteran where holding each other down is nessecary for survival, hes not from the hood, where having your mans back in the face of criticism what lets people know your not just some bytch nikka who goes with what everyone says and then tries to make himself look good depending on who hes in front of. My father isnt a doctor, so i dont get the luxury of having daddy give me what i need, or working at daddys clinic, or livign in daddys gigantic house at 29. So me and him come from two different lives. He didint go to war. I did. He wasnt beaten all the time as a child which forced us to move to the united states, which lead to a big part of my drug use.
Youre talking to a man who wants to be referred to as "Louis" not "Luis". That tells you the level of conformity hes willing to go just to be something else.
I live in a goddamn halfway house and im almost done with a rehab program. I dont expect somebody whos been practically handed a great life to understand where i come from and how it works out here. Thats why i am not really attacking him, because in a way i feel sorry for duke.
He will never, ever have my musical pedigree, he will never have my ability to put a album together with my quality and calibre unless i do it for him. You know what. one of the biggest reasons why i did it was because especially in the spring of 2013 i had a heavy drug habit as alot of people know, i had to support that habit and i was doing it through music because i wasnt working. I was able to hustle my beats and get work. So you call it whatever the hell you want, i made money doing what i know how to do.
