Nobody gives a flying fck how hard working your father was if he's got attempted murder, carjacking, robbery, and multiple physical assault charges. This guy is a horrible Hill to die on for the immigration community.
I think the third country concept isn't necessarily a bad one. I just think they should receive the bare minimum amount of support when they're dropped in a random country. At least giving them residency in that country, the right to work, etc. cuz even in a magical situation where he's released from the prison, he's basically dead without any of this stuff. at worst this would only cost 50 bucks for the US government to set this up.
