The Pacers are an awful spoiler matchup for almost anyone, and even if you lost I just can't see them letting Demar walk, there's not many teams you could do a S&T with that need him either. Your squad didn't want changes before, they damn sure aren't breaking up a 55-58 win squad.

They didnt break it up after 2014 cuz nobody expected us to be 3rd and just making the playoffs after 6 years was an achievement.Last year was considered a learning curve and a lesson...This time around its do or die, team has the experience, has the all star nominations, has the continutiy of coach and has added defenders which was the supposed weakness.

There is no excuse or safety net for a 3rd consecutive first round failure with HC NONE...Masai did nothing at the trade deadline cuz he didnt want to put all his eggs in this teams basket so to speak, cuz hes smart and kinda sees he might need an exit strategy for a 3rd flameout....He didnt want to add a PF cuz he knew in the back of his mind,he may have to break this core up and adding more salary to a failed season would fukk up his cap thatll he need this summer...
MU staying silent at the deadline i think spoke volumes about how hes not all in on this core...

Lowry and Carroll will be on this team next year, everything else will be in play if its a 1st round exit....

@Malta I think Masai is gonna trade JV regardless in the off season and go a different direction at the 4/5...Hes gonna lose Biyombo and Scola will be gone, hes seeing how valuable having a legit rim protector is compared to a guy whos a 7 foot Enes Kanter who can score some games but is a shytty rim defender...Even if Demar were to come back, this front court will be completely different next year....either way is a win....Its time to shuffle this deck.

I don't think they will lose in the first round though, the Pacers could beat them, but their offense is a bit on the garbage side of things.

If you all get out the first round and face the Heat with their new small ball shyt, then yeah I think it's a wrap especially if Carroll isn't there or in top form to help matchup. Masai did nothing because there realistically wasn't a player on the trade market that could help you get past the Cavs, at the end of the day that's who will be waiting in the ECF and they are just a cut above the rest of the East.

And why invest in a team you may want to break up in the summer...

In the last 3 games against the Spurs

Rockets lost by 10...

Rockets lost by 18...

Rockets lost by 31...

In each one of those games the Spurs held at least a 22 point lead at some point in the game...

So explain to me how Rocket's matchup with the Spurs...?

Last time they played at one point the rockets were down almost 40 points...

40...points...

And two of those were without duncan i think one without ginobly.

As a rockets fans, I don't understand for the life of me why ppl thunk the spurs are a better lesser evil matchup for us. We need to be focusing on getting a matchup with either the the Thunder or clippers.

We are hitting our stride but those are the two most fundamental teams (Spurs,Warriorss) in the league vs the least fundlemental(Houston ). We can barely execute a 3 on 1 fastbreak:francis:.

But DMo is getting back in game shape and beasley is looking like a steal :lupe:

He means get rid of the double bracket and just have the top 8 period and I agree with him.

Then you have to play an even schedule....every team plays every other team the same amount of times which is impossible because of time zones...

This playoffs is gonna be a win for the team if we can get two of the following outcomes

First round KO because it shows that the team is utter garbage and needs total reshuffling. A sweep or 5 games is preferable.

ECF apperance would show that we just need a solid couple of pieces to compete. Stealing one game is preferable to a sweep in this case

A second round KO is the worst possible scenario because it shows that were on the treadmill and losing to worse seeded teams... It would be tough to go forward after such a disaster.
