Jerry West.

Once he left, nobody else in management/scouting knew how to identify talent, and most importantly keep it. This goes all the way back to Bob Myers wanting to trade Klay for Kevin Love in 2014, and West put a stop to it. And you're not wrong about main rotational talent being far and few between in the draft, which is all the more important if you already have a core that you don't go taking gambles on drafting players that could help and forcing them into those roles.

Leading them to their biggest mistake of all when Myers (and Lacob) wanted Wiseman because they didn't have a big man, and because they were so fixated on that and nothing else, they overlooked all his hangups. They even went against Kerr (who wanted them to draft Haliburton), but they were too high off their own shyt thinking Wiseman was going to be their next centerpiece.
didnt know Kerr wanted Tyrese

Absolute hubris, in the NBA you're lucky if you can complete even one "timeline". Look at the C's, they already have to overhaul that roster because of what happened to JT. That fakkit Meyers was trying to build the team 5 years in the future and shyt. Steph should be allowed to pick someone to throw hands with Bob

no it didn't. :dahell:

it was always a bad idea. and it was executed terribly
That 22 chip was apart of the two timelines. They fukked it up by missing on their draft picks. They damn near could have picked anybody other than Wiseman and they would have had a solid player. Franz Wagner instead of Kuminga would have been great for them.

It was in spite of, not apart of

Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman barely contributed. Wiseman didn't even play a game for them. Steph won in spite of the two timeline approach because guys like GP2, Nemanja Bjelica, Otto Porter Jr, Juan toscano anderson were able to play their roles correctly

the 2022-23 season showed how badly the two timeline approach was. That was the actual beginning. During that season, each lottery pick was expected to be big contributors to the reg season and playoffs. Each of them failed misterably. Their minutes were taken by guys like Anthony Lamb. Wiseman got traded. It was a complete waste of time

in 2023-24, the FO doubled down and kept trying to force this shyt that wasnt working. The warriors didn't even make the playoffs

Here we are in 2025, and as you can see, it's STILL a disaster

This was a waste of 3 seasons trying to get 3 losers to compete for a chip

This thread turned into the Warriors off-season thread and a bunch of losers with no team allegiance just talking about how the Wolves can't go any further.

It was nearly impossible for the Warriors to score 100 without Steph. They did what they were supposed to do but the way the team played was uneven :hubie:

Short term memory hitting hard at your age.

I guess you forgot about losing multiple games to teams resting entire starting lineups.

I guess you forgot about losing multiple games to teams that were actively tanking.

Not losing a game to a team missing their star is a step forward and shows growth.
