Has he really tried shooting?

All I see him doing over these last two games is dribbling into the paint and if there's a defender in there, he has no intent of scoring.

He's only attempted 9 shots. Four other players on the team have attempted more shots. 9 shots in 30+ minutes is inexcusable.

I don't disagree that spacing and Minny being a good defensive team hasn't factored into it, but he's got to try to make shyt happen, and not just wait for an easy opportunity to score. Steph isn't coming to save this team, so he's gotta do his best rendition of being #30. What makes it worse is, everyone else on the team besides Buddy is hesistant to shoot, so if Jimmy is out there being reluctant to score, it's only going to reinforce the p*ssy habits of everyone else.

Dude the roster is just painful. Jimmy's just dealing with what Steph dealt with before Jimmy came. It's that simple.

There's a reason nobody was saying let's give Jimmy 60 million a year. The mistake was always not trading him in the off-season since we knew we wouldn't pay him.

It's not even that. Jimmy has been injury prone since the 2022 season. Once he inevitably gets hurt, this is the version of Jimmy that shows up. He was a monster in that Bucks series but once he turned his ankle against the Knicks he gradually morphed into what you're seeing now. Add a MCL tear last year and a tailbone injury this year and this what you're gonna get. All that robin to batman talk and forcing his way to a team to get than extra year was because he knows the injuries have taken their toll.

Dude the roster is just painful. Jimmy's just dealing with what Steph dealt with before Jimmy came. It's that simple.

Steph is guarded infinitely more closer and with more players than Jimmy is.

It's not the same.

Jimmy has been defended 1v1 for most of this series and he hasn't been aggressive when the team needs him to be. The elbows have been open for him to shoot over these last two games, but he's turned those opportunities down, only to drive into the paint and then not even look to score. Nobody should be expecting him to play like he's 28 again, but there has to be a certain level of expectation of him to be aggressive to help this team win, and he simply hasn't met that.

He's only attempted 1 shot outside of 14-ft in this game.

Yeah, maybe GS were never going to win this game, regardless, but they had 0% chance of winning with this passive version of him.
